I have seen players do it but not sure how its done û how to you tank concord guns?
Was thinking an armor tanking cruiser can do it or do you need better ship set up?
either 2 or 3 800mm plates with reps? more resists? Want my mid-slods for jamming and well to help kill things/

Edited by: Alumion on 29/01/2007 18:14:21 I saw a video about a dread tanking CONCORD for at least 10 minutes (it was supplied with fuel by a hauler). I'm sure it could have tanked forever but in the end the pilot just let it go down (to avoid warning/ban I guess) ---

Sentry guns can be tanked but as far as I know, there is no escape from Concordokken.

can u clarify if u actually mean concord or the gate guns? cos since they made it so that if u aid a crminal in high sec then u get crim aggro'd as well, it's not possible to tank concord for long at all.
if you mean gate guns in low sec then yeah easy. cruisers can do it, not for long tho

Is it possible to pop haulers in Hi-sec space before getting owned by concord?

You can tank 1 agression's worth of CONCORD in a nicely setup sieged dread. However if you are one of the few people with high sec dreads and do this you can probably expect it to be moved to lowsec in a big kinda hurry :)

Edited by: Helganstandt on 29/01/2007 23:15:59 The last time there was discussion on this, it was mentioned that avoiding concord after attacking someone in high sec is considered an exploit. So basically, make sure you die after you've tanked them to your satisfaction.
Overall though, nothing short of a dread or carrier should be able to tank concord for any reasonable amount of time. Most other stuff lasts less than 30 seconds.
Edit: I think you're probably referring to Sentry guns in low sec though. You can actually tank them pretty decently in a battlecruiser, though with cruisers, you shouldn't expect to last long enough to kill anything worthwhile. Most people tank sentries with battleships FYI.

What about if you agress right before a DT, then it's not your fault! I wouldn't do it though. Losing a high sec dread would be too much of a blow to the epeen.

The sentry guns aren't Concord, they fall under different factions and are much less powerful. Same with "Customs Officials", "Amarr Navy" and all those other non-concord labeled ships, these are not as powerful as true Concord vessels. The guns are also even LESS powerful, and less numerous, in low-sec space. In low-sec a well fitted battleship or battlecruiser can tank them for quite a while, cruisers are borderline, anything smaller goes pop in seconds.
Concord itself, you cannot survive it without some exceptional luck and very specific ship fittings. In the rare case you DO survive a Concord attack, and CCP becomes aware of it, they have been known to have a GM take care of destroying your ship at their first opportunity. The offical stance, as best I know, is that if you do something that causes Concord to come after you... you MUST loose the ship. Anything else is considered an exploit.
