I was looking at the ingame store today. In there were several things in it called pants. These are curious things that a character puts over their legs. This is kind of odd because I never see my character's legs. So while keeping your legs warm in space is generally a good thing, how am I supposed to know that hot little redhead isn't just running around in her underpants whenever I'm not looking? She might have the heat cranked up in there or something.
So I start thinking to myself, why should I buy her pants if I'm never really sure if she's wearing them or not. Maybe she hates them because she thinks that they make her butt look fat. She says it's her size but then starts complaining when it doesn't fit perfectly and if you happen to mention the next size up you get the evil eye until you stuff something sweet into her face. This is why I hate clothes shopping with and for women.
Anyways, I digress.
Where was I? Oh right. What's the point of pants in EVE... or shoes for that matter? I mean if I twist the camera around just right to the totally wrong angle I might be able to barely see that she is in fact wearing pants but shoes? Yeah, you aren't going to see those things just about ever. When I first heard about dust getting released, I thought: oh look, now I'll be able to show off my pants to the people I shoot from behind. Then I saw everyone was in those armor things all the time. Great. Even if I played that and could use this character in it, I still can't show off her pants. And it's not like the pants give you bonuses like implants do so I have just to buy those leather hot pants of drone command.
Now if we had a fashion skill and ingame only drops that work like cybernetic implants, that'd be one thing. But it isn't. If CCP wants most people to even consider buying pants, they really should consider a reason to be wearing them.

Pants come free, the pants we buy simply give us a choice other than the default pants. What we should be able to pay for is the option to remove said pants. What if my space heater is broken and I can't turn it down to a lower setting? I need to be able to maintain my body temperature.
Pirate ship Nightmare, can you fathom
Larger but with smaller spikes than Phantasm
The Succubus looks meaner
But the Revenant cleaner
Seems as they get bigger, the smaller spikes they has'm

If you change hanger view to the captain's cabin, you will see legs also feet. Which is why there are also shoes and boots.
Still not sure if this was a stealth WiS thread. |

I'm gonna chip in here why can't we zoom out the camera when taking our portrait pics to get a full-length pic? this isn't rendering a full 3D model, it's simply about being able to show off your trousers on your avatar piccie.
For posting an idea into F&I:
come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it.....
If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

Because having 2bil isk pants even when nobody can see, is even more swag than a monocle or golden pod

At work in the summer a company I used to work for had theme days, one of which was boxers day. Had to be worn outside of regular obvious apparel (pants, other shorts) to prevent people from claiming to be wearing speedos. We actually picked up alot of business for being quirky like that ( outdoor year round business).
I'd go for that sort of thing in game, with or without pants/shorts under.
Tbh, I was kind of responsible for Hawaiian shirt Fridays, business suit Thursdays, boxers day, and silly hat Mondays. My boss just made them official with pay bonuses.
The cake is not a lie. Unfortunately, the fork is a parallel construction.

While I'm at it I might as well wish for an "I (heart) giant secure container wine" shirt.
Ed* the boxers in the above post had to be non standard patterns. My favs were eye searing clashing neon camo, the breakfast series( cheerios and strawberries, captain crunch, silly trixy rabbit...).
