Minmatar aren't getting new shaders. It's CCP's way of balancing them against the other races. |

I'm thinking they'll come in next expansion. releasing them now would be a bit premature, since issues are still being solved with crucible, along with time dilation. The previous expansion isn't yet completly deployed, so no point in bothering the Dev's for the next. But I too, would enjoy them new textures. |

That's the thing. The art department has nothing to do with technical issues from Crucible. I don't know why everyone assumes that because there are "these" problems, that all of CCP are stuck fixing them and nothing else gets done... They've gotta be working on them, if not already having a good chunk of them done. Shove them on Sisi and let us see some of the new skins.
Also, imo, they shouldn't be in the next expansion. Maybe a mini-expansion that updates all the Minmatar and Amarr ships' textures [and their pirate faction variants (ie: Angels)]. There's no reason to delay this 6 months for a summer release if it gets done well before then. Hell, maybe even two mini releases if they get one race done at a time... |

This is one of these basic, obvious points that I am routinely horrified to discover that they need to be made at all.

I got the impression, in the lead up to Crucible, that it would have a staggered release, a la the last few expansions. So I think we'll be seeing Red/Gold V3s soon(ish; before the end of February), along with the AF buff, further Hybrid balancing and FW fixes.
Well, okay, maybe not the FW fixes. |

I think some of the NPC areadly have the new skins. I'm not sure, but those vengeances in that level 4 amarr mission looked fairly different. Much much better. |

At the moment, the art department seems to be working on new weapon/ewar effects, v3 on Minmatar/Amarr/Pirate, v3 on stations/LCOs, on ship launcher modules, new ship models, and probably a couple secret projects.
V3 on the ships is probably higher priority, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get it asap. Maybe 1.3 in March (assuming 1.2 in February)? |

Maybe its meant for the spring expansion. I'd love to see Missile Launchers, Drone Bays, Target painter models etc, but I doubt the last two will ever be considered. |

The new v3's on the Amarr/Minmatar ships should not be pushed back to some next major expansion. They need to be made and brought in line with Caldari and Gallente... |

It's a stealth temporary Gallente/Caldari buff. Seleene's report on the December CSM summit included a section on the CSM's meeting with the Art department:
Quote:Oh wow, the Art session! At the first CSM summit, I suggested that we have an hour with Art so that everyone on the CSM could better understand the processes they use. Stuff like, "Why can't you lazy guys just add a third turret to the Naglfar IT'S EASY!!" was addressed back in May. Art was happy to talk to us again but this time they wanted to show off and brought in a dedicated uber-box to show us some shineys!
First off, one of the things that CSM 6 bitched about early on was the horrible rookie ships that everyone starts with. This is your introduction to the game and you are forced to fly something that looks pretty ghetto. Well, that's being solved as we were shown the concept art and nearly complete renderings of all four new Rookie ship skins that will be going into EVE "soon". The new Reaper, in particular, looked amazing and makes me wonder how scary the Rifter will look if / when they get around to tweaking it as well. So, yet another example of how the CSM has no power. :)
Next up were a series of demos showing effects in space. I can't really say much about this (NDA) other than it's obvious the Art duders have been watching a ton of Battlestar Galactica. If they can get some of this stuff in game... holy crap...
There were a couple other things that I can't even hint at which made jaws literally drop but will hopefully be public in the near future. I suspect that some of this stuff is being held back for Fanfest and rightfully so. Remember the feeling you got the first time you watched the 'Trinity' expansion trailer? Get ready for that feeling again.
Much like all the other CCPers, the Art guys seemed almost giddy to have an audience they could share their excitement with. They are working on stuff they want to (SPACESHIPS!) and you could tell they are loving it.
Bolded the important parts. Note that we already have the new Impairor and it looks friggin amazing. There is not much more info than just some SoonGäó stuff, but I would expect it in the next summer's expansion. |

It's not done tell it gets its seal of approval (racial icon). Right now some Amarr and Mim have only changed due to the new shaders, not new skins.
They even have a new Condor model they wont put in game yet for some reason. SO they reskined the old model with new t2 patterns as its going to take that long to ever implement. |

It should be an O.R.E. ship - the Orca bay should hold several of them and they should launch, and orbit the ship, and warp after aggressors or be assiged to a Exhumer or Barge, they should have a load out like a ship, but act like drones.... er, uber-fighters!...*cough cough*...
*wakes up, tosses a glass of water in his face*... Oh, where is that nurse...nurse... *pushes Nuke button*... hehe. ...and Pinning/Toggle must be restored (paraphrase of Cicero). |
