This is the truth, Lord speaks through me
why?,we live in the npc stations in fountain and have operations both there and empire and are a 30 man corp who fly cheap ships, We have no infrastructure to worry about and aslong as the npc stations exist in fountain so do we. Doesnt matter how many ships we lose, or how many times we get defeated, we do this for fun.
Eve needs more people like you and less like the guy you quoted.

What would happen if we as an alliance said, screw it, fountain sucks, Celest now control it completely? I think you would implode completely from over-pressure and after a few months the corps there would splinter and it would end up back in our hands.
I think if you thought a little harder, or read our forums more carefully, you would be able to answer that yourself.
[hint] We would be leaving just like we planned to just before you said you were coming. [/hint] ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids; Click. |

I think we would simply pack up and leave. We don't want Fountain per say, we wanted the fights it brought. When that dried out and you hadn't come yet (you were busy with ASCN and didn't have time for us understandably) we should have left for somewhere with more action.
Instead we used the time to make some isk and try to rouse the locals and BOB through various means, most with limited success. Some of the posts on Eve-O were for that purpose, sort of trying to provoking the various factions to fight us as I think you realize. It worked a little on the XS/HORDE at first but not for long, and didn't work on you at all (but hey we had to try). So that would account for the chestbeating I guess.
but back to the point I quoted. Yes, if you did say "Screw that region, we got 3(?) new ones" and we stayed, we would implode. We are a pvp corp and really need that to take the edge off or we get insufferable to everyone I imagine.

Thanks for the straight answer renox.
I hope that maybe this is a turning point in the history of Celest and maybe that both alliances can realise that we are playing different rules to the game... and actually follow that through on the forums.
BoB evolved around the time we left the north to realise that a single corporation or small alliance couldn't harm us in the long run and to try and deal with each individual entity aggressing us on a daily basis would cause more harm to the alliance than good.
That is why for the most part we have to ignore celest or the sausage boys or anyone else until it suits our timescale to go and clear out the parts of our space that have become infested.
With our space becoming larger and larger, we have to try and delegate that responsibility down to the caretakers of each region to deal with incoming threats.
Sometimes this will work, sometimes it won't.
The sausage boys asked us why we hadn't come steaming up after Molle said they had until the weekend to clear out.
Molle never indicted that we would be arriving at Friday 20:00 on the dot. Simply that everyone should vacate by the weekend.
Whether you take that advice or not is completely up to each individual corporation in Fountain.

yes yes all that is truth and nothing but truth. only one flaw. What do you think how a npc station bubble camped for 2-3 weeks 23/7 efects morale of people that come there to play game? Playing game by sitting in station is well ahem also fun if you like to reed contracts....

Whilst being on the outside camping the station is probably the more enjoyable thing, and your morale will be better, as you are theoretically 'winning'.
Its just as boring and acheives little as you will of course show your dominance, but your still not going to have little fun, surely showing domination on the battlefield and enabling you to actually activate your moduels would be more enjoyable and benefical rather than you looking at a bubble (probably reading a contract in space) and the people that your camping spinning their ship around and probably going afk. _____

true as well. But dont you think that peopel who cant play game for few weeks will be better of to leave and place themselfs in some station closeby and from there just roam around and actualy make life easier for both of us... ie pew pew?

Without logging in to check i think there are about 12 stations over 5 systems in Fountain core, I think they'll manage just fine.
