Just a small update: I noticed some users with a huge amount of transactions (50k+) were experiencing sluggish login times, and for that I changed the way profits were calculated and stored. If you had a similar problem in the past, things should be significantly faster now.
I'm also open for ideas for new types of statistics to display.
Things like best trade routes or market blunders (transactions with very high or very low profit margin) which often result from price typos are already on the list.

The profit tracking is getting worse and worse. for example, i buy imperial navy 1600mm steel plates for around 31mill and sell it for around 33.5mill (for around five days now), but the system says i bought the item for 39mill and shows a loss of 15%. dont know where the system has the 39mill, but its definitly wrong.
unfortunatly this is not the only item. more and more items are involved in this problem, so that my profit is around 20% of the real profit that i make. |

The way profits are calculated is by assuming the first inventory items are sold first. Sometimes it means it will pickup some older items you've bought in the past, and it doesn't necessarily mean that's the case everytime, but unfortunately that's all you can do when it's not possible to track items individually with the data available in the API. The reason you're seeing negative profits is because the tracker is just matching older buy orders for that item (should be easy to verify in the transactions page).
In some days I will be creating a new feature that will let people mark particular transactions as *insignificant* and removing them from the tracking queue.

this has great potential with a nice and easy to understand UI! and will hopefully replace my aging and out of date eve mentat and other ailing tools.
with that said I humbly request two things of possible.
1. add something that'll open say a DCU 2 in the market from the website. 2. could you add a "suggested new price" for undercut orders and have the option to auto-copy into clipboard? |

thanks. I will be looking at some of these things later on, but sadly for the time being I don't have much time to devote to side projects.
Also there was an unexpected outage with my provider on the 27th which prevented it from backing up data and led to an inconsistent database later on. I had to re-roll things 24 hours prior which means people who recently registered might have to create an account again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have a few questions about this.
How do you handle broker fees on cancelled orders? The broker fee is charged when the order is made, but there won't be any actual transactions to apply the costs to. Also, how would you handle partially completed orders that are cancelled?
Second, I am noticing drastic changes in the profits reported on a day several days later. For example, On 6-4, I showed a profit on Evetrademaster of around 500 million when I recorded it at about 00:00 EVE time of 6-6 (could be off by several hours). Now, I am showing that day as a 400 million loss. If we assume I was stupid, and I just forgot to record the entry as a negative, it is still a change in the profits of 100 million isk. |

Let me know your username and I'll see what's wrong. Typically, the 'daily profits' are updated once a day around 00-01 am eve time.
I'm currently in the process of rewriting the profit calculations to fix some small inconsistencies.

Hi,
I use your tools, it's awesome, very usefull for profit tracking, but i have question, why the sell order value is calculated from the average value of the item in sell order ? The goal of trading is buy low for sell high, in this case, the sell order is not representative.I would prefer show the real value of the sell order
Thanks |

It was initially that way, but I changed it for a few reasons, mainly accuracy and from some people's suggestions. Some people set absurdly high or low orders in some hubs (lowballing, scamming attempts, etc) which can easily inflate your total assets value, turning all sorts of net worth graphs pointless.
You are correct that some items are worth more in some stations/regions than others, but one could also claim items aren't worth more than the average value until you've sold them.
In the future I might consider adding an option to evaluate your orders by average price or by listed price.

I have questions about the statistics page now. When I look at the detailed profits, it shows that I had a 30% loss on an item. It says buy price around 3000 isk per unit, and sell price of 2070 isk per unit. (roughly.) When I look at transaction history, I show that I bought the items yesterday at around 2000 isk per unit, and sold them at 2140 isk per unit. I can't figure out where these numbers are coming from for the detailed profits. I guess the sell price could be actual sell price minus tax and broker fees, but the buy price is just completely wrong.
My second question is about the statistics page, I want to know where you get the information to calculate the daily profits, because I am concerned that if it uses the detailed profits to calculate the daily profits then I don't think I can trust those numbers. |

When you look at the detailed profits page you should be able to see when the transactions for it come from:
http://imgur.com/RKvlVxP
and they should all be somewhere in your transaction history. The most likely scenario is that the program is matching earlier purchases of that item with your sales, which is why the results are different than you expect. By default it always assumes what you buy first is what sold first. The values you see in the profits table already include taxes (where transactions in the transactions page do not).
If this doesn't clear it up send me a PM with a screenshot on the profits table and I'll see what's wrong.

I know . Back when I started creating this I honestly had no clue corp wallets were so widely used for trading, and thesedays I don't have as much time to spare for side projects like this. It's on the priority list for sure, though.
