See topic. Are Rigs listed as 'destroyed' on the killmail?
If not, we need to start petitioning for this RIGHT NOW.

That wasn't my question, was it?
My question is if rigs are displayed as destroyed when a ship is destroyed. Yes, rigs are similar in concept to implants, but since the code is likely completely different, there is no reason to automatically assume that BECAUSE implant destruction is not shown, THEN rig destruction is not shown.
...and my assertion is that if rig destruction is NOT shown, it ought to be shown, for several reasons: 1. Accurate tracking of monetary losses/destruction on killboards during wartime 2. The only way to tell how much rigs are REALLY affecting us (ie. what is overpowered/underpowered) is to check see what is being destroyed and what is surviving.

They dont... I know this as I went boom with 3 fitted :-)
Not sure if it's needed as they never drop, but I guess it would be nice to know what financial losses were inflicted.

Yeah - tracking of financial losses is important, as well as being able to track what is overpowered/underpowered.

agreed. It would be better if CCP just exposed an xml of kills (think character xml) instead of a mail in game.

Right... stop derailing the bloody thread.
I don't give a rat's arse HOW kills are displayed or recorded, as long as destroyed rigs are displayed/recorded IN SOME MANNER.

If you mean derailing by offering a counter point of view then no.
There are plenty of ppl that don't give a rat's arse of who killed who. Besides the lame argument that you are "keeping track" of losses, its moot, since most losses mean nothing when planning new opts anyway. you either achieve your goal (take the station, kill the ship, deny space) or you don't. Attaching numbers to your success rate is fluff
Kill mails nothing more than epeen stroke and a waste of bandwidth.
Sorry, but its true.

Initially you supplied no "counter point of view". You said "no". That's not constructive.

This is a PVP/empire building game. Accomplishments must be recorded. Wars must be documented. Killmails help with that a great deal.
I'm sorry that killmails offend your sensibilities.

I can see this happening soon, perhaps CCP just missed this detail or overlooked it. Who knows.
On another note, I love the idea of implants showing on pod kills!

I'm not sure what forums you've been reading... there doesn't seem to be much of that here. Not from most pirates anyway.
Carebears seem to get out of hand occasionally...

I disagree. When I stick in a damage implant, nobody knows Im packing a little extra punch. I like the same thing with the rigs. I can have a little extra somthing for my tank and the enemy doesn't know that. Like in real war, you can't account for everything. I think it should stay the way it is. As for knowing what losses you've inflicted, you're assuming the destroyed target was fitted with mods that were bought at market value, not always the case. I would never buy faction mods and fit them on my ship, but if I got faction in my ratting loot I would fit it on just about anyship that it would be beneficial on with little regard to value.

Wrong.
Everything has value. If you've inflicted a loss, you've inflicted a loss.
Killmails are present to display losses. They should do their job. - Implant losses should be displayed - Rig losses should be displayed
Otherwise, remove module loss lists. Make it consistant FFS.
