Just curious how it's going down there ?
Any end in sight yet or still more to come from both sides?

Leaked goon intel seemed to indicate that Ragoon would not get involved unless IAC needed it. Looking at the numbers ranked up against them, I'd say they'll need it. So the question is, will Ragoon delay their own plans in order to assist IAC, or will they decide it would require too many of their forces, and the victory would be at least uncertain.

IAC as an alliance certainly won't die. They'll likely lose their stations, but you can't kill an alliance through force alone, and they have enough balls that they will likely continue existing long after their stations fall.

Hey I am all for IAC.. Free booze for all.
But what can you do agianst a foe that can put a tower in reinforced before you can even decide how to attack it..
IAC should hold strong. But when you roll in that many cap ships to take on one alliance well pretty much all they can do is roll over and play dead until they (the current orgy of mercs and others) leave and retake what they lost. Which I am pretty sure IAC are more than capable of doing..
here is to free beer and IAC ... ----------------------------------------------- ok ok

This man speaks from experience.
ISS pockets won't be so deep once IAC doesnt just roll over and die. And I doubt ISS has the intestinal fortitude to see any kind of lengthy conflict once they look at the ledgers. Stations will change hands, but I don't see any major territorial line movement changes in the future.
On the other hand, the FIXions might want to get back on the map, which itself should be enough to cause IAC some concern, even if MC and VETO withdraw, unless FIX has become just another merc entity.

appearing on josh's map isn't all that tbh. The area FiX lives in querious is much better in terms of carebearing resources than iac's area in catch, where there is only really one decent system. Fix are just here for the pew pew, i highly doubt they would in there. Granted if they did would be more targets right next door so i couldn't complain.

I know that, but even so it makes me sad to see such a great alliance as FIX has always been, be relegated to 'BoB space tenant' staus, even if the circumstances involved were looking bad for FIX control of Querious.

This is just information you can get from the other thread, but I'll repeat it here for you for your convenience. Because I'm nice
The first 7 days was mainly preparatory, lots of logistics. The fight 'proper' started last night.
About 400 ISS/MC/VETO/FIX/LV/TYC/UK moved into system with the largest capital deployment ever seen. They knocked all POS into reinforced.
As things currently stand, F4 has been in lockdown with large bubbles since the POS were knocked into reinforced, and the first POS exits reinforced shortly.

Don't lose any sleep over FIX's stature in other people's eyes.
A marker on a map is a neat thing, but that's all it really is to us. There are many more important things in our own eyes, and the majority of them have to do with looking inward upon ourselves, and judging our own progress. While outside opinion on FIX can vary widely, the important ones are those of our friends and allies, because they have the ability to clearly judge us due to our relations and shared operations.
No one ever became strong because someone else thought it to be true of them, strength comes from within.

agreed. i doubt any alliance could withstand just the cap ships seleen brought in yesterday, but if/when IAC lose those stations, my guess is they'll base out of curse and camp the ISS stations. i dont think MC/veto/fix/LV will babysit ISS 24/7 for months on end...but thats just my opinion, and what i think would happen

Losing space and your stations is probably the hardest test any alliance can undergo. Staying together as an alliance is pretty much dependant on the pilots and corps themselves; from what I've experienced, it's those who look upon their alliance as a group of people, and not as a place (defining themselves by the territory they hold), that stand the best chance of surviving the fallout.

Edited by: Necronomicon on 18/12/2006 23:38:01 I can only see a long term run of bad blood between IAC and ISS if this drags on. I love the pew pew as much as anyone, but really, why dont IAC just stand down? You got a nice deal at the moment where you are, and you stand to lose it all over a hot headed decision made out of an incident that was unrelated to ISS.
(This post reflects my own drunkeness, and is not the opinion of anyone sober in my corp or infact in game)
