Edited by: Na''tel Treel on 10/12/2006 09:56:53 This thing is so versatile, it's ridiculous. Anyways, I'm mostly just curious what others are using for pve.
High: 5x 250mm Rails 1x Remote Armor Rep. Med: Sensor Boost Web 3x Tracking Computer Lows: MARII SARII Damage Control 2x Hardeners of necessary type
Mostly for deadspace complex runs and missioning. I'm not sure to drop out the Remote Rep and web for a cap booster. Ah well, can always pick it up later. I did have some fun firing at a lone Interceptor, thought he was safe from the miners, then I warped in, locked, and hit him down to armour before he ran for it.
Edit: Drones, right! I go with Medium t2 and light t2, rather than 5 heavies. Just easier to deal with the small ships that get up close.

My latest config has been 3 tractors 3 salvagers high with 2 MAR2's but that was to test salvaging
been using 200 med hybrids and 2 MAR other times - fits well and has a nice tank then :)

0.0 Belt ratting setup:
6x Heavy Ion II
Named MWD Web 20k Scram 2x Eutectic or F-b10 Cap Rechargers
MAR2, 3x hardeners, 2x Cap relays
4x Heavies, 5x Lights.
I am ok with losing the dps of 1 heavy, to have the ability to shoo off any inty's that might try and tackle me for his friends to deal with, and the 20k scram instead a third cap recharger, in order to catch the occasional ganker off guard. It tanks 1.85mil BS spawns like a dream, never runs out of cap, and i have spare grid and cpu leftover. maybe enough to upgrade to Neutrons once I get better skills. - - -

.:Med 5 * Cap recharger T2
.:Lo 2 * Ki hard T2 2 * Th hard T2 ENP Magnetic Ki T2 MAR T2
12 * Hammerhead T2
SOP: Warp in, if enemy <50km, lock, drop n pop.
Pro's: No need to close the range. No need to worry about incoming DPS (Ki 90%, Th 84%). Drones can pop tacklers if any survive the initial Artie barrage. Cap for the repper will newer run dry.
Con's: Using medium drones are slower to chew down BS, tho the Arties' pick up that slack more than adequately. No salvage, tractor beam or AB/MWD fitted: so slow to loot.

there is nothing mirmidon can do that domi won't do better.
I just squeezed 610 dps out of the domi as a mid-range setup 20-60km range (425mm guns + 5 xplosive sentries), while keeping typical domi tankability for stuff that gets though. If it works well in 8/10 complex it will work well in any lvl 4, or most cosmos stuff... (not all.. some of these missions are quite tougher...). I can't wait for the 2 sentry damage rigs I can put on this setup, +20% to drone damage on domi is sweet.
But myrmidon is a good ship, just not worth the investment yet. Domi's huge drone bay means you can have mid range drones, and then t2 mediums and lights... even T2 heavies if you so desire.. (850 dps with that setup and 5xOgre II). And with the price gouging, domi is a bit cheaper O.o from myrmidon!
Now hyperion is a beast.... but that's for different thread.

But the Domi is just so slooow. And that even with nearly maxed navigation skills. Since they boosted the agility of Battlecruisers by 20% I just can't stand it anylonger flying my domi, unless I really have to

Edited by: Shionoya Risa on 10/12/2006 12:53:26 I made a port from my Brutix setup:
Hi: 6 200 II's (Thinking of changing for Med Ion II's)
Med: 10mn AB II, 4 Cap rechargers.
Low: MAR II, Med Accom, Mag stab II, 3 active hards.
Drones: 5 Ogre's, or 5 Hammerhead II's and 5 Hobgonlin II's
Fitting the Ion II's instead of the 200's would give enough grid to fit 2 MAR II, and maybe some more exciting things in the meds, but otherwise this thing is pretty phenominal.null

5x 720mm Gallium Artillery 1x Drone link Augmentor
1x 10MN Afterburner II 1x Sensor Booster 1x Omnidirectional Tracking Link 2x Barton Cap Recharger
1x MAR II 1x SAR II 1x Emergency Damage Cotnrol 1x Energized Magnetic Membrane 1x Energized Thermic Membrane 1x Energized Reactive Membrane
10x Medium drone 5x Light drone
I'm thinking of changing to all medium drones, since the lights can hit small targets fairly well with the tracking link there.

3 EANM II's with compensation skills are as good as an active hardener for each of the 4 dmg types. even if you wanted to double up on active hardeners for rat specific dmg types, 2 EANM II's and a 37.5% of your desired type would still yeild almost equal numbers, and save you cap. You could drop one of the cap rechargers then, and go with a mag stab in a low, or a dampener in the mid.

I am chewing through level 3s in this like it was a Navy Raven -
High: 5 x 250MM proto gauss rails with antimmater or iron Drone Link Augment Mid: 4 x Eutectic rechargers 10MN II AB Low: MAR II Emergency Damage Control Whatever combination of hardeners/EANM II/Membranes fit the mission Drones: 5 lights 5 mediums 2 ogres (which never seem to get used)
That MAR II runs forever and the only time I've been put into structure was when I accidently ended up tanking Worlds Collide vs several Serpentis megathrons :o
The tank is actually overkill for nearly every mission, so I'm going to start experimenting with 2 x EANM IIs, mag stabs/tracking comps and see how that works out.

I'm quite new to level 3 Missions and use:
Highs: Drone Link Augmentor I 5x Named Artillery (650mm Medium Carbine Howitzer I)
Meds: 3x Cap Recharger I Named 10MN AB (Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners) Named Web (X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator)
Lows: Medium Armor Repairer II Damage Control I 4 slot combination of active Hardeners and EANMs for the mission
4 heavy and 5 light Drones for the mission
For the ammo, I'm a bit lazy and just use Depleted Uranium for all missions. I can hit stuff up to 35km with it when operating in heavy falloff. With that web, i can hit some close frigs too. Best damage is between 20 and 25km. Drones work up to locking range of around 60km.
Thanks to the Artis, that don't use any cap, the repper and hardeners can run forever with these 3 cap rechargers. Just don't forget to turn off the AB.
Except for the T2 rep, this is a really low budget and low SP setup. It has some powergrid and cpu left over, maybe it would fit even with engineering and electronics 1. Good Drone skills are recommended though :)
I'm looking foreward to replace more Stuff with T2 and switch to rails when cap allows it.

For Angel ratting (it's been some days ago so I'm abit fussy about the details).
4 (5) T2 heavy Neutrons loaded with Void. Void is expensive, but the look on the rats face as you take them down in seconds is priceless. +2 salvagers (1).
1 named 10nm AB. 4 cap rechargers.
2 T2 MAR, 2 explosive armor hardeners, 1 kinetic.
5 Heavy berserkers.
This setup compared with an imbalance towards gunery skills just rips through the spawns and will run everything all day long (possible exceptino the AB, though I never needed it on long enough to run out of cap yet.
To the Original poster: Na'tel; where does your cap come from? I'm afraid your setup will lose it's ability to run the modules fairly quickly and I wouldn't want that to happen to me alot when missioning.
But yes the myrm is a nice ship, and it is somewhat more agile than the lumbering giant of the dominix, but incomparable to the Ishtar. Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes, ta! If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Deckard

I'll name one thing a Myrm has over a Domi.
You can fly it with BC skill, which is race-agnostic. I don't have any BS skills, but I do have all 4 cruisers to 3 or better, and lots of BC skill.
Not everyone is on the cap ship path :P
Mine:
Highs: 6x 200mm proto rails (plutonium, iridium)
Mids: AB 2, 2 targeting comps, webber, cap recharger.
Lows: MAR 2, 2 mag stab 2, 2 rat spec hardeners, nanofiber 2
Drones: T2 lights and meds.
