Currently, In Amarr/Minni FW space, I've been activly looking for a fight for the last 5 hours. So far I've come across two types of ship. Stealth-bombers, and Frigates.
Now the first, I'm fine with them running away, They are in the wrong type of ship and easy prey for my Slicers. And to chase them into their sites is a very hit and miss thing. However in the last five hours I've gone into double digits of how many Mission runners have seemingly lost their way through high-sec and are trying to care-bear their way through low. It's a little frustrating when these jokes of resistance are the only faction warfare people that I have found in the last five hours, that have fit any form of offensive armament on their vessels.
The T1 frigates are sitting in novice plexes, In combat ships that look like they are ready for a fight, entering into a novice plex as a Solo Tormentor, up against a fed navy comet, your heart gets going, you start to think of the opening moves, burns in, out, range control ext. ...only to find this faction frig is 200k of the warp in, Stabs in every slot, and not committing to be on the same grid as you.
This is all i've found in the last five ours. All the time, I see nobody in this lowsec FW corp wise who deserves to be here.
I challenge you to say otherwise. FW is dead
Solo T1 frigates should be expected to find fights in their entire game night, doing nothing but looking for one. The activity in Bleak lands is just pathetic individuals who need to learn that Stabilisers are to be taken off at low sec gates, and if they are going to do nothing but farm, do it in a non combat ship to stop fustrating and ****-blocking real pilots of 'good fights' |

Use your map filter to find the contested systems with active fighting. Anyeay, I think the Amarr quit trying to chase down the farmmatars long ago.

You need to use a ship everyone thinks they can beat......my suggestion is.....a venture.
Non-faction hulls help a little bit.
The key is to look like easy pickings.
Surprisingly I get a good number of fights in an rff.

However, the mortals intrigue me, Odysseus' cunning, Ajax's valour (beating Hector to a draw), Teucer's loyalty but who can forget Eris, who was the catalyst for both the Illiad and the Odessey? Unfortunately, I find that I identify with Cassandra all too frequently.

I can't really blame the fw farmer. There is no reason for them to fight and no draw back for not engaging.
That being said, it's not impossible to kill them. I find that stabs on their ships gives them a huge ego two thirds of the time.
If you can't figure out what to do with that info... Then sorry? I won't give away that tactic to the public in plain text.

Wait... so you're a neutral complaining that you aren't getting fights in a warzone.... Maybe YOU should grow a pair and join a faction. Why would someone concerned with fighting in FW engage a neutral? All they get out of it is a sec hit. We have good fights every day but don't waste our time on neuts for multiple reasons. You wanna talk a bout willingness to take fights yet you remain neutral so you can choose where you get yours? Neuts like you are nothing but a hassle in FW. You want fights pick a team. Don't stand on the sidelines and try to start one with every pilot who flys by so long as it's on your terms. Fights in FW come to people who are... wait for it.... working towards FW goals. It's a warzone for FS not a duel zone.

Just stating you mentioned the obvious that I think most missed, that he is not actually in fw, just trying to solo pirate. Which is fine in itself, but a pirate shouldn't expect fw players to eagerly engage them, nor do pirates have access to intel that the fw provides. Maybe I should start looking into this wine stuff.

yeah, thats why we try to push for timer rollbacks since the inferno expansion. But the farmer lobby is so established by now that they derail the thread as soon you would post about it. The root of the problem is just like you described that there is no incentive to fight since the mechanics persist progress after a plex farmer ran away. (stabs, cloaks etc are really a symptom, not the actual problem)
you can farm lp in fw without actually fighting for the grid with the side effect of influencing sov while doing that.
not to mention that even if you are in FW too and wait in the plex to tick the timer down by yourself, you trade your time with a farmer in 1:1 manner WHILE the farmer is already sitting in another plex (in the next system for example). Even nullsec has it done right this time and defensive entosing costs a fraction of the time as offensive entosing - not the case in FW. 0 risk plex farmers are entosis trollceptors on steroids, because core plexing mechanics allow that.
the only way to fight a plex farmer is either with another plex farmer or through griefing, you follow him so long around till he gives up. Both are not fun game styles IMO which is part of FW's reputation issue.
how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Wait.... is O-plex farming really a problem where you live? I would think letting the D-plex farmer chill with his BC NPC buddy on a reduced timer is the exact opposite of what you want.

Just from reading the OP...
It seems like he is frustrated that people have evolved and figured out how to evade him and at the same time, engage in care bear activities...in low security space.
Everyone cries about "ADAPT OR DIE" but when people finally adapt and start playing the game, you hear things like:
"Waaaah!!! Stop putting on warp core stabs..how can I catch you in my T1 frigate? Wheres my one sided battles? Waaaah!!"
Well sir you cannot have your cake and eat it too. Also you are probably in the worst space for faction warfare. Last time I heard Caldari and Gallente FW is hot stuff.
But then what do I know....I am a low sec carebear myself... |

If the slicer has to warp into the plex to engage, you should be able to land web/scram before he burns out of range, in which case he is dead shortly thereafter. I get pretty excited when I see a slicer on short and I'm inside a plex in a brawler because I'm immediately thinking "free navy frigate killmail."
Any other navy ship is a more daunting opponent because I can't know their fit in advance.
I would say the problem is not his hull choice but rather 1) the prevalence of risk averse pvp reliant on blobbing/links/faction mods, implants/pirate hulls SEEMS to have led to a decrease in people like me who just fly around in a T1 or navy boat alone looking for the gudfites. And 2) minmatar/Amarr FW seems to have a reputation as being less active than the cal/gal zone. My last visits to that area I have also struggled to find fights outside of the pirate home systems which are full of the aforementioned blobs/links/snakes/pimpfit worms.
Recommendation? Try Black Rise. The area around Asakai is home to some linky/blobby calmil but I've been getting good fights in Sujarento, Nagamanen, Tama, Kedama and surrounding systems.
