I tryed to logg into jita but only got a black screen and few minutes later my cpu and craphic card fans were speeding up like mad and then the complete system hung up. (Not even ctrl alt del worked anymore). So i had to shut down the pc manualy thus probably damaged my graphic card and so come I dont get any signal anymore on my screen. I went to my laptop (where im writing currentely) and tryed to enter jita from here. Same thing happened. Got a black screen, system hung up a few mins later but this time i got a windows device failure error first. After rebooting i had to reinstall my laptops graphic card drivers. Im quite shocked that a game can cause such damage to your software and hardware! Anybody ever had an issue like this or im just extremely unlucky?

I don't feel sorry for you. A. You stayed in Jita during a major patch day and B. You tried to log into Jita after a major patch.

Define irony: "Your" is a possessive term implying ownership. Therefore, "Your an idiot" would implying that "an idiot" belongs to someone. However, if you were attempting to say "You're" which is a contraction of "You are" you would have meant "You're an idiot". At this point I will leave you dear, Kamal, with one simply thought "Attention pot! This is kettle, YOU'RE black."
To the OP now, it seems that your graphics cards was destined to die whether you loaded up EVE or BF2124 that day. I highly doubt the game itself was to contribute to the issue. I wouldn't be as rude as any of my fellow community members and infer that you've done anything wrong. I just simply think you were ****ed with the most horrific of luck. I even went as far as to make an alt on my second account today, fly it to Jita, log out and back in just to make sure there wasn't something wrong with the system after patch (other than being overpopulated as usual). Nothing happened on either my desktop nor my laptop.
I feel for you, Madefortrade. Try re-seating the graphics card in your desktop before giving up hope and I would also strongly suggest the use of a program such as NvTempLogger fro 3dGuru to verify you graphic card's heat level while in programs. Hopefully all is not lost.

A game can't fry your hardware. It can expose flaws that already exist in the hardware by using additional power and features that the OS does not use by itself. Often this happens when dust bunnies get into fans and heat sinks and cause the device to overheat. This my not have been what happened to the OP, but hardware flaws can't be caused by the game. Snow Crash was fiction.

Maybe it's a new form of Concord attack. Do something illegal and Concord directly attacks your hardware. Better open the case and look for some small Concord forces attacking your video card and hard drive.

I would check your power supply. I recently had my power supply take out my video card. So I got a new video card which made my system very unstable. This led me to find out my 5 volt rail was low which was causing ide problems and such all my stability problems. So i ordered a new power supply. I then and took out the old power supply to find that the atx connector had melted together and once i got it apart that it had actually melted the solder on the pins in the atx connector. Such i had to by a new mother board. Long story short i dropped 150 on getting my computer back up.
Any ways the game probably caused more parts of the cpu and video card to be used which cause more power draw to the point where a rail dropped and such the computer locked up.
As for the laptop well get the newest driver and the newest direct x. There are some changes to the direct x in this release. Probably most likely which cuased problems.

EVE fried my first 6800GT. It almost fried my 2nd one a few days ago, but I got lucky this time. The 2nd one didn't have a warranty because I took off the stock heatsink and put in a much better one, but I guess it didn't help enough.
I have no problems like this with any other game. =-\ --------

that is true to a point...but hitting reset when your hard drive is working at max...can on occasion corrupt data...ESPECIALLY if your system is locked up and you kill all power...and thats a fact on almost any system, but some would assume its hardware when it could be software :)

sounds like you corrupted the drivers by acting like a spaz while trying to get your underpowered laptop to play
any program will have that happen to it if you reset while the hd is running.
