If God permits, we would like to present a puppetry from Palas, Ms Farel. For long religious puppet theatres have been an important element of the Palasian carnival. The plays are often hagiographic in nature, yet the scene to be presented in Caille is of special, heresiographic nature: It shows, quite dramatically one has to say, the story of Admiral Faus Akredon who on the eve of the Battle of Vak'Atioth betrayed the Empire and conspired with the Jove. It is a story of betrayal. A story of divided loyalties. A story of a person who was graced with the love of God, but, in the end, found eternal damnation. A moral tale. I think you will like it.

Greetings,
This is a reminder that the Fair is approaching and that many people that have expressed their interest have yet to contact me to confirm their attendance. To that effect I have added a list of the current registered sponsors on the OP.
We are also moving the date from the 12-13th to the 19th and 20th of September due to a conflict of date with lady d'Hanguest Khanid event planned the same day.
The opening will happen the 19th at 19:00 and the evening will be dedicated to it. The Fair itself should happen all the next day long, with presentations from the sponsors happening at 19:00.
Thank you for your interest, and with the hope that many will attend. |

I will attempt to attend this event.
I would trust this will not be a disappointment.
((I'm new to these things to say the least, what exactly is this going to be? A channel in EVE or will it be everyone travelling to the system and speaking in local or something else? I'll edit this out of sight when I get an answer.)) |

Greetings,
Considering time constraints and another event yet again planned at the same time, we are moving the NEF to the next week end, which means the 26th-27th, September, same hour.
We apologize for the disagreement.
On an encouraging note, we managed to come to an agreement with federal authorities regarding potential attendees engaged in the 24th Crusade and the STPRO. They are now allowed to come freely as long as they restrain themselves to no personal weapons (as it is expected from anyone in the Fair establishments), and do not wander freely in the city around.
We graciously thank the concerned parties for their gesture. |

Finch and SchmidtGÇÖs GÇ£Culture of StitchesGÇ¥ ... Fashion, Aakari to Zet
Mr. Charles Cambridge Schmidt and ourself were going to collaborate on a presentation about Clothing + Culture + Color.
- It would be about the evolution of Capsuleer fashion in New Eden over the years, as well as observations on how Amarr and Gallente cultures influence clothing styles, accessories.. and yes colors!
- For the Amarr, it will be a useful set of suggestions for dressing up to represent the House you may owe fealty to.. a handy guide for us going into the Succession Trials which will bring many social events and outings.
- For the Gallente, Charles is working on how he will approach it.. perhaps by brands or by Corporations or subculture. He is still working on it, and he has quite a creative hand so we are looking forward to what he comes up with.
- Charles will also design the atmosphere of our venue or booth as he has some solid experience with hosting and reception. We are delighted to note that he already dreamed up with some ideas that will reflect both our inner characters in a subtle way.
In any case, we hope to see you at N.E.F. 1. We will have some material specific to our topic to share with you soon.

An informative first day, and a surprising one. The technological applications in consumer goods and electronics also bore unique cultural signatures worthy of contemplation.
The ice cream was superb. I recommend it to any day two attendees. |

I cannot recommend a visit to the Fair highly enough. It is a marvel of organisation and cultural interest.
Lady Farel and the exhibitors have accomplished something most exquisite, and which graces our great city of Caille. It was also a privilege to meet some people I have known only from their communications here.
I intend to visit for the second day this evening, and would encourage others to do the same. There is much to see and experience - not least, the chocolate spiders.

My thanks again to the organisers and exhibitors.
The Gardens were spectacular, and I learned a good deal about Achuran cuisine. There was a spirited debate on the cultural relevance of dance, and of course the fashion - though a tad cutting edge for my taste - was a treat for the senses and presented in such a thought-provoking way, so unlike the normal cat walk.
I found it sad that there were no Minmatar exhibits, with such a rich culture. Perhaps that will change next year, for I feel sure this should be an annual event.
Very well done!

I hope the positive feedback will encourage Ms. Farel to organize this again. Perhaps it could even be extended a few more days to allow people with varied duty schedules to attend or exhibit.
I do know there is a group of Matari trying to do some sort of exhibit or presentation on their culture. it was posted recently I think. Perhaps they would consider putting on an exhibition next year for a broader audience for the benefit of the cluster rather than the limited audience specified. |

From the current post mortem made out of the event, we are pleased to see the success it had among the baseline attendees.
We of course would have been open to an extended timeline, but we feel that one full day, one evening to another, was already a huge timescale to fill up where the very few capsuleer attendees, even with all their good will and motivation, were far from a critical mass to make it a truly involved event for them...
It comforts us into thinking that cultural and artistic issues proves very niche, especially compared to the usual parties capsuleers use to throw around that can easily gather dozens.
If there is a thing where capsuleers could learn from their baseline counterparts, it might well be culture...
We are currently thinking about the next issue, which according to plan could see a change of theme as designed initially. |
