(hopes this isn't a repost of my own)
I must say I should have bought a cerberus a long time ago. Guess that 270 to 280 mill price tag kept me away LOL! But I am glad I have invested anyhow on to the point.
Currently I have only flown the beast on lvl 3 missions just to test it out. WOW the range, the damage, the tank it's amazing! Can it be used on lvl 4's EFFECTIVELY? I'm not sure if I want to NPC w/ it or PvP w/ it right now. Being so unfamilar w/ it's strengths and weakness or general do's and dont's. I'm not asking for a step by step guide how to use the thing but I would like a little help on a good solid setup for NPCing or ideas on a Pvp build.
I have heard the main weakness is just EM damage and not being able to maintain a tank w/ constant incoming damage and heard NOS boats will kill it fast too. Is this correct?
My Current Setup Hi's 5x T2 Heavy Launchers, 1x Improved Cloaking Device Mid's 1x T2 Med SB, 1x alumel-wired I sensor augmentation, 1x SB Amp, 1x eutectic cap recharger, 1x photon scattering field II Lo's3x PDU T2, 1x ballistic control T2
Thank you in advance for the postive feedbacks

I have a cerberus which I have used happily in most L4 missions. Its small size gives it an advantage over a BS as you can dodge a lot of fire and torps and cruise missiles do drastically reduced dmg.
Invest in a Gisti A-type small shield booster, ditch the cap recharger for either a boost amp or another hardener.
For missions you don't need the cloak so i'd leave that in station unless you know of a specific threat like probing pirates busting missions in system. A tractor beam or Nos is a good bet - i use the tractor personally as you can loot a large chunk of the mission as you go then.
With the cloak gone you won't need the sensor booster to make up for the targeting penalty => another mid slot for a hardener (what rats are you fighting? - use the right hardener type for them).
I found that PDS II's in the low slots were almost redundant - check if you can ditch on in favour of another BCU II without running out of cap.
I hope that lot is helpful. I love my Cerberus but seriously I wouldn't consider flying it without my Gisti fitted. Expensive but absolutely worth it!

Tbh it's not that good ship.
For lvl4: 5x heavy II gist L booster, faction em hardener, t2 invul, dg amp, med. cap injector 3x bcu(you need some dominations), pdu(you might need faction one)
And tell us where you do them, we might help you with setup further. ----------------------------------------------- Remove flashes from capital torps.

Actually it's people like you that think bloodly raw meat taste good before you even try it. The only safe way I can test some of the limitations of this ship is in missions currently. Unless of course I decide to rush off to combat not knowing what this thing can and can't do and lose it. If you don't have anything positive to add to my thread I would ask you don't post it. Thanks

Vaga can rip through lvl3 missions in a breeze, just the ammo consumption is retarded.

I want to know what person would willingly take a 280mil ship, put a good 500mil worth of fittings on it, and take it into pvp, knowing full well you can and probably will lose it. The only reason Rox can is because she probably stabs up. We all know about those UDIE people >_>

i used to do it in my last cerb... thing had an insane tank... never lost it so its still sitting in a hanger somewhere in metropolis while my dad uses my acct (this is alt btw).
PVP setup:
5 t2 heavy launchers, 1 medium diminishing nos gist B type Large shield booster, 2 t2 invuln fields, true sansha medium cap injector, faint warp prohibitor 1 or 2 t2 bcu's, internal force field damage control, t2 pdu or RCU cant remember what made things fit
didn't do missions in it and frankly i agree with roxanna it is little tarted newb carebears that in drove prices up on these things... [/rant] but we hate how its possible for you to sit back in safe 1.0 empire and make billions till your hearts content while you train with +5 implants till you can grow big enough balls to actually take your ships below .5 and then you still probably lose it[/end rant]
anyways thats another discussion...
For missions I guess just mount an afterburner and sit back out of range and hammer nme's from afar with a gist L shield booster tank as backup...dont really know tho as i'v never done missions

Thanks for the input actually no the missions are a stress test only. Due to time restrictions I was able to fly from Jita to 0.0 or low sec. Yeah my future wife had on that sexy nightie thing huh yea. I figured I could get in a quick mission. But your right I agree carebears have driven the prices up on a ship that is worth at best 100 mill. My skills are pretty sharp that I can take it almost anywhere and be successful. Just haven't the safe haven to see the penatlies of the T2 ammo, the stress test of the tank are very helpful. Again thanks for the input. See ya in space

I would like to have it a card up my sleeve. I'm sure it looks VERY VERY good to a corp needing a solid member. I simply need to buy the thing. Right now just not in a rush just hamming it up in Empire

exactly, all 0.0 corps are in need of a completely un skilled pvper with a capital ship...then again dark matter did get into bnc.e
if you accually want to "have a card up your sleeve" sell your cerb and every other carebear ship you own, move 50 fitted thoraxes into an npc station in 0.0 and learn to fight. x-7omu is a perfect place to learn.
isk for 1 dread = 4 runs of a 10/10 plex = 2 days.....just having a dread and no skills is not going to get you into any respectable pvp corp.
