Welcome to www.*snip* -Eldo.com! When you make an order, plz fill the coupon code with 92354 to get quite special discount it can work every time when you make order.(don't change it ,ok?) Please do remember the discount code 92354 for DISCOUNT! and look forward to seeing u earlier on our website Lightning speed, 24/7 on-line service, transaction safety 100% guarant! i wish you have fun with the game ,and more and more stronger ! Thank you very much !!Best wishes to you and your family^_^ -----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a idea on how to stop most ISK sellers from getting into the game and trying to sell us ISK.
I hope everyone is aware that the Eve 14 day trial requires ""NO"" credit card whatsoever...
Simply make it so that someone needs to enter a credit card to be able to access the free trial.
Also make it that someone cannot activate more than 1 trial account per credit card.
Its so simple im really confused as to why CCP hasnt implemented something like this.

I know this sounds very childish, but I have the website copied and I am going to it to troll the hell out of it.
They annoy me while im playing my game, I have every right to annoy them back.
I think I will start with putting about 10,000 seperate ISK buy orders in
and whatever else I can do to **** them off

it sounds simple, but CCP dont implent that, because they know that not everyone got or could afford a credit card.
there are a lot of younger ppl playing EvE or mature ppl who got no work. they cant afford/get a credit card and even if they would have the chance to get one, my best guess is that they wont or in will to get one (either by themself) or the bank.

Edited by: Talion Shar on 26/10/2006 22:05:19 well better: how about that trial accounts can't write eve-mails?
and just can convo to you. as long as they typing and want to persue to buy isk from them, you can call a GM in. would kick them faster as they can type.

And CCP, out of the goodness of their hearts, let them pay for their accounts by farming NPCs and buying GTCs with the ISK. GTCs, which though bought with real money, are continuity-jarring and introduce unseemly economic distortions.
At some point they have to start worrying about the tradeoff they are making between supporting these noobs and maintaining an immersive game environment. I hope.
Nearly a year ago Kieron (I believe it was him, anyway) said something along the lines that GTCs were being used in an unforseen fashion and it was an issue that had sneaked up and bitten them from behind. Not sure how it is being viewed in the context of increasing subscription numbers today. Perhaps differently.

there's legitimate reasons for a trial to write an eve-mail, but most of them should start out with a conversation. That's why i think it should be an option, and/or give the ability for people to "allow" certain trials.

Well paying the game in an other way then GTC would be totally ok i.e PaybyCash or Paypal.
the problem for me: * im a student and i dont own a credit card, nor my bank will hand me out one * GTC are cheap and they got me the full playing time * PayByCash would be ok too, but those buggers are charging tax and an additional fee not to be american. +$4 * didnt tried Paypal out yet.

I usually want to get my playtime fast like within a few hours after I decide to reactivate an account or extend one of my account. With gtcs, I get my playtime fast, actually currently by email without having to send money first and wait some days.
The hassle and waiting time has already kept me from reactivating other games, because if I'm in the mood to take a look again, then I don't want to wait days. Pay-by-cash and such things would be a step back.
GTCs itself are fine. Like today, when I ordered 2 keys and was hoping to get them, before my playtime runs out. Was afraid to get my testserver accounts disabled. I logged in to the internet shop, got my keys this afternoon, playtime extended, done. They take the money from my bank account in a few days, I don't have to care about that, I can play. That's how it's supposed to be imho.

I would just like to point out to those that are asking for an "ignore all trial accounts" option and other similar suggestions, that since Eve is still growing steadily, a lot of trial accounts are valid new players. Any heavy restrictions placed onto trial accounts (other than the ones already in place) could possibly hurt the growth of Eve. ----- Lighten up a little bit. It's only the end of the world. |

I only got a credit card because the trial was good enough for me to want to get a full account. If I had to enter my credit card before starting the trial, I woulnd't of tried the trial.

well that's why i wanted it to be an option, and only apply to eve-mails, not convos

What EVE has done:
Trial accounts cannot transfer ISK to another account. This stops someone from having 1000 trial accounts all farming and funnelling their ISK into paying account who sells it.
Very good idea
What else EVE can do:
1: Allow players with high security ratings to attack in highsec space without CONCORDE interference. A player with a +5 rating, for example, can attack in 0.5 space, a player with a +10 security rating can attack in 1.0 space.
This will allow players to patrol the highsec mining areas for "ISK farmers" themselves.Although CONCORDE will not attack a player if their sec-rating is high enough, they'll still take a rating hit for initiating combat. Since it is relatively time consuming to get your sec-rating high enough to do this, I feel it has a built-in deterrent against abuse.
2: Cap the type of ship that can be used within the newbie corp. If mining barges, for example, were PC only, it would allow other players to wardec those who are mining for the sole purpose of selling ISK.
Any other suggestions?

point 1 would be exploited horribly instantly. greifers would be cackling in glee at the opportunity. and while murduring the entire population of jita is certainly an appealing proposition, it would be very bad indeed.
point 2, well, that one has some merit. I notice that the "cannot be used on trial account" notice has been removed from most ship descriptions. but while it was there, I was slightly puzzled why titans cannot be trained on trial accounts, yet mining cruisers were available.... I'm pretty certain the skill requisites for titans rather put 'em out of reach of a 14-day trial.
I do like the idea of capping out npc corp usage to force them into plaer corps where people can hunt them legitimately, instead of hiding behinf the NPC corp immunity. perhaps the newbcorps could "have their fleet liscnce revoked" in a series of events run by ISD to justify the change, or something similar?
at the same time, I'd also be very tempted to introduce a new tier of cruiser hulls, a sort of cruiser equivalent to the newbship that is only available on trial account. a hull that looks spectacular, is quite tough, so they see the bigger ships' benefit, but which is unable to use loads of mining lasers or weapons to farm isk with. a taster of things to come for trials, really.

I got into this game by checking out the trial. I wouldn't if it asked for my credit card details. Why? Because I don't trust people who want my credit card details for testing their product. They got 2 more subscriptions by not asking for cc details - I guess that's worth something. And spammers - just report and ignore, it is not that bad.
Oh. And isk selling - don't blame those who sell. They just responding to the market demand. Blame people who buy, they are guilty of every wrong that comes from isk selling.

thats why you got the rookie channel for, on trial and even if you got a full account another 14 days (1month), till you can delete the rookie channel.
and ignore isnt sure the way to go, just for eve-mails. convo is ok. see my idea

I'm really tired about those suggestions against NPC corps. Not everyone in a NPC corp is a macro miner/ISK seller/whatever. But since you can't wardec them they are evil incarnate^^.
So this suggestion is not really useful.

Are you guys really that dense? Trial accounts and ISK sales have nothing in common.
Trial accounts: Can'nt transfer money. Trial accounts: Can'nt train mining barge skills The list goes on and on.
Trust me $15 is nothing to these guys, when the have profits of $1000s a month. The only Trial account or newbie you see is the one sending the Eve-Mail. The rest are 5-15 months old.

Trial Accounts can still TRADE money, so stopping transfers is a waste of time.
Only thing that will work, is to set filters into trial account mails. Only downfull is it would require new code to be added into the game & we all know what new code does :(
