The nerf atm is a scan resolution/target rang penalty, right? (correct me if im wrong) Well, thats better than nothing, but one thing is missing. I think you should not be able to fit stabs and warp disruptor on the same ship (like mwd, ab) ,because if you want to run if the situation gets tricky, you should not be able to hold other people, thats not faire. If you want to warp scramble people, they should be able to scramble you in return. ____ ____ My english is bad. |

No, it's fine to be able to scram while your stabs are on. There's nothing unfair about that.

I can see the reasoning behind the OP's idea. I do like the idea too, theres logic there. It must take a HUGE amount of resources to do either of these tasks, so they should really be either or.
I think one of the strong points of EVE is that you have to make sacrifices if you want to improve something else. You can have an all-round good ship, but you'll never be the best at everything.

And again an Idea:
Throw away all WCS and Scrambler/Disruptors. No Warp-Scrambling anymore but a new Module (and a new Skill of course):
Chasing(-Module) for Interceptor-Pilots
An Interceptor-Pilot can log on the signature of a warping ship and "chase" the ship (and mayby overtake it, 'couse an Inty is faster in Warp than almost all other Shiptypes). When arrived at the goal, the Gang (or Part of it) of the Inty can warp to it and try to destroy the Target... or do the game again... Yes... that is chasing ---------- Gungnir: in the nordic mythology the golden jevelin of the Odin, which was forged by dwarves. He never stops in his impact. By it the war came into the world... |

There is no 'fairness' in reality, or Eve. It's down to every player doing whatever they possibly can to survive. If that includes stacking your ship with stabs and scramblers, so be it. Not a hack on the op, but more players need to learn how to cope with the other elements of the game, including electronic warfare in general.

The idea is that if you fit warp stabs, it's harder to lock. If you can't lock - you can't scramble. So if a sniperthron loads up on stabs in case a cov-ops sneaks up on him, he won't be able to lock fast enough to snipe. If a pirate fits stabs, it takes him longer to lock and therefore scrambler - allowing his prey critical time to escape.

It would make sence that if you are putting out a field that disables warpdrive operations you would be affected by it too. if you wanted to fit your ship with anti scrableing gear it would have to exceede your own ability to disrupt. So if your running one scrambler and another player targets you with a second your warp stabalizers would need to overcome both in order to warp out, or you would have to turn off your own scram to decrease the hit to your own systems.
