Yes twas a good expansion. Absolutely love the new nebula's and time consuming tweaks.
But I suppose it's the old human condition to focus on the bad instead of the good ya know. Also some people just want to always be angry at something.
Chances are somewhere some person is pissed over the most mundane or harmless thing.
But yes twas a good job CCP. |

The fix of rockets was a single event. Crucible is allot of events in a very short time. It seems clear that CCP is refocusing on EVE. This is wonderful news. I agree with the OP this is a great expansion and those who put it out should be proud. Whether or not the protests from the last expansion are what led CCP to making this expansion the way it is ~ The bottom line?
Crucible is a great well thought out expansion that deserves great praise and thanks.
Caldari and Gallente ships look *awesome*
Nebula look beautiful and amazing, (only a couple look blurry/pixelated)
Hybrid fixes, balance tweaks ~ I absolutely love the papercuts mentality of fixing the game.
The new CC look great.
the UI is FINE !! Runs 3x faster/quicker, and is totally readable / flexible.

Still feel bad for all those layoffs but love the new focus and hardwork. I wonder sometimes if this community is as intelligent as I give them credit for. Like did anyone ever try to program something and have it work perfectly, on many platforms, in many launguages to boot? I couldn't even concieve and plan let alone release something like this.
It really does have a new feel to it as well as look. The economics I think are turned up to 12. In the past they just kept listening to everyone that said strangling everyone was the answer. Now they really flung the barn door open. I think we better grab hold tight. |

I'm worried the next expansion will be more of the same.
Useless cosmetic changes (that often hurt more than help), more buffs to mega-RMT-alliances, more nerfs to small groups. I miss the days of running a medium sized alliance and actually believing there was a point to it all, that there was some achievable goal worth pursuing.
In fact, I'd like to know summer plans sooner rather than later, for the sake of decision making.

This new expansion is good on many points and it is enough to allow me to justify bringing back one account, but it is clear that CCP is hurting for people and that the game still requires a lot of repair work. My plans pre-Incarna are all now dead. Until thing semi-stabilize I don't see a point in reviving the other two accounts and even then the path that the game appears to be going down is such that I just don't know how much I want to invest financially.
TLDR : I'm on the fence, but positive with the current changes.

While not perfect, I find the font at 13 pt and scaling at 90% to be pretty good, and overall better than the old font.-á |

This patch was awesome, except for the font.
Fix the font. Fix locked windows. Fix the map.
Then it will be perfect. |

Crucible is amazing. I don't mind the font, the new nebulas are absolutely gorgeous, and while hybrids are nowhere near replacing projectiles in usage, they got some attention and a little buff, among many other little papercutty things put in to the expansion. They really did a good job. |

I'm happy with this expansion bar 2 things; the font and the fact that the Gallente buff wasn't enough. I do hope that CCP gets fearless enough to actually tackle the real problems in the game; Projectiles, lasers, bridging. All those those need a good nerf. Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude. |

Quote:Considering the amount of work that has been put into this expansion in the 6 week time frame that was given, I'm sure the teams gave it their all and are very tired now, only for them to see a lot of negative feedback only on a few points, I really hope they haven't overshadowed the few who has given positive feedback
i like what they have done with the patch,but...
Lol 6 weeks ,can,t believe that . They must have been working longer on this then 6 weeks but rushed it into this big patch with a few new ships and background. being able to say"see,we care about you ,so we changed plans for a few whiners" |

Credit granted for this patch but It's no real expansion IMHO.
Nice to see alot of tiny things moving. Still I await CCP addresses more of the daily pain in Eve. The list is so long.
I's love to see CCP becoming more agile: Deploying more small features in shorter cycles, like every month. Complete expansions can come every 6-9 months, don't mind. But it's more than annoying to wait for small changes(Anchor times for pos modules, yay!) for over half a year and more. Forgive me if I misread your post, but seems your one complaint has to do with the social organization, and while the game can provide some mechanics to manage this, it's largely up to the sandbox how these alliances/coalitions evolve and largely out of the hands of CCP. It's been said and argued before, I know for a fact, but the terms of how our own social organizations evolve are pretty much in our hands and to some extent a reflection of the people that play this excellent game..

I think the lack of posts is just evidence it was a great patch
But yeah, the whole game feels new. the cyno effects make you feel like a boss. The warp tunnel (especily going through planets) is awesome. The new logout rules have been needed for ages. Just all-round awesome improvement. The new tier3's are going to be a ton of fun too. And the new texture update.... the CQ screen reflections... outside all the textures look so crisp.... so awesome =D
One suggestion: let me drag/drop the Destination UI into chat (so i can link it like i can the current system) =D

I have been critical of CCP in the past, so yes it is only fairly to let them know when I like what they are doing. And I like this release.
Please keep up the good work.

I do like the new expansion overall and if they did this in 6 weeks I hope that with 6 months before the next one they will finally top Apocrypha which has been the best expansion for me so far.
EVE has lots of potential for new things not just improvement and I hope to see lots of both next year.
Well done CCP but don't drop the ball. |

I chimed in on the font thread because I have problems with the new font (for some sections it is actually better, but for other parts it is really bad) so I will chime in on this thread too because I absolutely agree, even though there are a few bugs and the new font has problems overall the new patch is great. |
