As above, for those who are not sure, Vivox are the ones providing eve with the new VoIP features.
I am trying to find an application or white paper I can read up to look into their technology.
The only thing I can confim at this point is that it will be more expensive than TS or Vent no matter how you to do the maths, since they are selling from a feature stand point. -----------

I ssume you've seen this?
I saw this at E3, and it was amazing. SOund was crisp, clear, and much better quality than Ventrilo or Teamspeak. It also worked within the client very well, and they're adding specific features for EVE. _______________________________________________

How expensive is expensive? Right now I pay $9.95 a month for a 50 man Vent server with Speex quality maxed at 2,433kbps quality. Sounds like my alliance mates are in the same ship as me ;)

And that's the thing right there. The cost of Vent is so low, and the quality is so high, I'm afraid of what this service will be like.
I'm wondering if it'll be on the test server soon so we can test it out.

After reading that link, I am very interested in this for Eve. In and out of game communication. Communication with people on other im networks.

What, like communication between EVE players and the great unwashed playerbase of WoW?

Yes I have, features are hard to tell at this point since we are getting eve-specfic.
I am looking for things like projected pricing via other software and technical anayalsis

Vivox is competing not on price point but features, this was a statement the ceo admitted to saying, this means they are not going to be cheap by comprasion. -----------

realistically expect 1-2 USD. so on a small scale it will be can be more cost effective while on a large scale, say alliance scale, it won't be as overall cost effective but it seems from what I have heard that the features may convert the alliances. That said I do expect it to have a slow launch with the smaller corps picking it up and the larger corps and alliances coming onboard once the opinions start coming out.
