That truly serves no purpose and is immersion breaking. Because its all about immersion right? Eve Online roleplays as a SUPER SERIOUS game where everyone is a CUTTHROAT, in a corporate future of seriousness. The thing is corporations in Eve online really dont work like real corporations as much as they work as WoW guilds. And Eve Online is not a super serious game.
You can't allow goons be goony, redditors be derps and pubbies be pubs, just because they are large online communities who can threadnaught for a cause. Hydra Reloaded is also an online community, you don't get to discriminate against it just because its small.
Its won twice your alliance tournament (sup PL), its provided you with hours of Garmon/Suitonia/Duncant Tanner/etc famous elite PvP videos, which in many ways have more effort put into it than "DRAGON FLOT, BURN THEM DOWN", and stories like Joe Pubbies MOST LARGEST SCAM EVER OMG SO CUTTHROAT which I will add to this cause because he rolled with us when that happened (citation needed).
The least you can do for all the publicity and content Hydra Reloaded has given you, is allow the use of whatever as an alliance logo. Be glad, at least its not a goatse.
LIK DYS IF U CRY EVERYTIM
The judge is CCP, since it's their game. The logo is clearly intentional mega crap and I can understand why CCP doesn't want it in their game. You are correct in saying that the space camo is indeed totally pointless on spaceships, but so are all ship paints, so it's not really an immersion issue. It just looks bad, but nevertheless the skins are high quality work.
What hydra has or hasn't done is entirely irrelevant too. The only relevant issue is their suggested logo and as I said, it's obviously a horrible abomination that was brought in to existence by some artisticly challenged special individual and has somehow succesfully evaded the trashbin/delete, where that abomination can finally find the quick release it has desperately craved for all this time. CCPs position seems to be, that as long as hydra refuses to euthanize that thing and redo it properly, they didn't really want a logo anyway.
