OK, I've tried the search function but I haven't been able to find a "One stop guide" to manufacturing items. I'm thinking of manufacturing for my own use and maybe sell the odd item. How do you go about doing so? The only thing I understand is that you need the skills to do so. Then what?

Feel free to ask if you have any more specific questions. It would have been updated over the weekend, but I... Er... Let's just say my weekend was unexpectedly devoured.

THere is a test forum at the bottom for testing your sig and odd things.
To the OP: You will need a blue print (of course) of the item that you want to make. Acquire said blueprint and look at the show info. On the last tab there is a 'Bill of Materials'. This is a list of the minerals that you will need to make 1 run of the item. Ammo and missiles will have runs of 100 meaning that for every run you will receive 100 missiles or ammo units. So you know what you need. (I'm still new at manufacturing so i don't know all of the skills off the top of my head atm)
Once you have your blueprint and all of the minerals in the same place, ie station cargo hold, right click on the blueprint and select 'Manufacturing'. This brings up a few boxes where you select where to manufacture, and quantity of runs. Select the Pick a Location button (may be different than what i say for this is because I am at work) This brings up another interface where you select the location and assembly line. Select the location then at the bottom there is an area to select an assembly line. Once you find one that says NOW select it then click, Use Assembly Line.
Now you should be back at the original interface and you select the quantity of runs and then have it quoted. If you like the quote then click accept quote and your blueprint and minerals will be removed from your inventory and the blueprint will be returned when it is done. There are some guides out there that will explain it in more detail but I can't search for them atm.

You didn't even look at my signature and ponder why I might want it to be posted in a thread like this, did you? Didn't even take half a second to pop your eyeballs down to the bottom of my post. Did you?

For a program that helps you figure it all out, even easier, take a look at this link. Material Calculator
