Itd be nice if the test server could transfer your skills over from tranquility when you log on. Perhaps not possible but would be very helpful when your trying to test something you can do on Tranq with your current skill points.

tell me about it, i have been waiting for well over 2 weeks for this mirror that people say will be "soon", 5 mill sp down and cant use snot.
why have a test server if its not even remotly upto date. everything i could test from 3 months ago i have tested, apart from my drones firing at me i had no big issues.
but i wanna test a few things with a carrier befor i waste the isk on one.

Well Im not sure about skill transfer for personal use but I mean if you have an expensive bug occur on tranq and want to recreate it on SiSi, its sometimes impossible to do because the skills requirement cant be met.
I guess the solution is to get someone else with the skills to recreate it though. The Privateering Life |

I think you have misunderstood the point of the test server. The main reason it is there is for the devs to sort out problems occuring on the live server. That the playerbase then can use it to test their ship setup, game mechanics etc., well that is just lucky

Actually, I'm fairly certain the test server exists so that the players can test the new features of the game and submit bug reports, etc, that help the devs iron out some problems. At least, that is why I hop onto it. There will be, of course, people who just hop onto FFA and kit out expensive stuff and blow everyone up, but that is fun (and usefull for stress-testing) sometimes =) I always run the logserver.exe file, and I would strongly suggest that everyone do the same.
Devs have their own dedicated server that players cannot access where a lot of testing/developing goes on. Then it is brought on sisi for more extensive testing, and oftentimes people find little bugs that shouldn't be there.
I would actually like to either see the test server go back to the way it was a long time ago, where you could start a skill, log off, and the skill would be 90% done, or have it mirrored every 2 months on a set date.
If not, I can deal just fine
