I'm not sure if this is working as intended but it's definitely working as it should. Jumping into hisec no longer shelters people from a fight, even if they did no hostile action. It is now possible to hunt them, even in hisec.
What happened I was on the nullsec side of a nullsec/hisec gate and decided to f1 on a large gang. They started jumping out and I only managed to hit two of them before they all ran. I then decided I might as well use the time to rep up so I waited my 60 seconds and jumped after them into hisec. I found their entire 20 man gang sitting on the nullsec gate at 0, 18 of them neutral and 2 of them, the 2 I'd shot at, red. These players had not even yellowboxed me, they'd run on sight but I was red to them and they were red to me. I got a friend to jump in to get a second opinion. He'd shot one of them but not the other and sure enough, one of them was red to him but the rest neutral. I decided to just go ahead and test whether it was a display error or a patch change, opening up on a red ship which had performed no hostile actions towards me. His friends whom I'd not shot at were helpless to do anything in hisec, they were neutral to me and I to them, while the poor guy in question was forced into a 1v1 with me. Had my fleetmates jumped in the situation would have been even funnier, they could all shoot at the guy called primary but because they didn't shoot at anyone else nobody else could shoot at them. Jumping into hisec put him in a situation where he had killrights on everyone who shot him, everyone who shot him had killrights on him and everyone who ran immediately, neither shooting nor being shot at was completely neutral and prevented from joining in by concord. Anyway, suffice to say I gunned him down before the eyes of his horrified friends while concord looked on and didn't care.
The implications of this are huge and fantastic. It really limits the worst aspects of messing around on hisec gates, you could have someone ungroup their guns, tag every single guardian once then deaggress and jump through. They would no longer be able to rep everyone while they deaggress and get the entire fleet out unharmed. |

I'm not sure.. but at what time after the patch was this yesterday? There was an emergency Shutdown yesterday because Concord was apparently not defending -anyone- in hisec yesterday after the update to Crucible.
It seems strange that someone gets an aggression flag towards you while it was you that shot at them.

Same thing happened with WormHoles....
You shoot somebody in a WH he goes through you can still shoot him in highsec. This an issue which one of the DEV pointed out in that thread and is looking at fixing it.
So I gather part of the patch is that fix. It would have been awesome though. The Crazy South African.

You're more likely to get tier 4 BC's added before this mechanic is implemented on purpose. |

I wonder if this works in low sec...though GCC would prevent you from enjoying it?...
This btw is silly and should never be a real mechanic. You shoot a guy in low sec therefore you have the right to shoot him in high sec...ch'mon ladies...now if he shot you first... |

You agressed on a gate in low sec and jumped into high sec less than 15 mins later and didnt get concorded due to the gcc you should have had?
I call bullshit, unless something is seriously broke.
Edit: nvm you said nullsec gate, i stupid
Either way, your description of the event sounds more like a bug than an intended mechanic. |

Pretty sure it's a bug. I tested it again. Jumped in a wh from hi sec. Agressed one person, his group agressed me. Jumped out. I could still shoot the one person and all of them could shoot me. |

I personally could see liking this. Does keep it more interesting and keeps people from camping a HISEC/NULLSEC gate knowing they can just jump to hisec to be safe. |

Hiya BringerMC, i don't think you get it.. this will mean the exact opposite. MORE people will camp Hi/Nullsec gates from the lowsec side, knowing they can engage in lowsec, and finish the fight in hisec because they attacked the target. |

Something to note: When a person aggressess, they have a 1 minute timer that prevents gate activation.... So if you can't sneak away with a 1 minute head start, you deserve to be destroyed.
I've been trying to figure out how to abuse this.... and its hard.... You have to aggress the target a full minute before they enter the hi-sec system, or they will easily get away. I suppose you could chase the target down if they don't stop and wait out their aggression timer, but they should have a warning flag that this might happen, and should easily be able to get safe.
The only way I can think of is to anchor a bubble off the entrance gate, and hope someone warps in it, thereby becoming aggressed. Then, they might enter the hi-sec system where you can wtf pwn them in a manner they can't get assistance. The two questions are: Assuming the bubble is anchored for corp, can a bubble aggress a person to the entire corp (my assumption is no). And, assuming you anchor the bubble for self, can you gain aggression on the anchored bubble when your not in system? |
