MC, I hope you charged them the going rate plus a 50% "Shame Fee" when Velsharoon explained your new targets.
Velsharoon: "Um... Yeah, they're a bunch of mission *****s and miners who come out to kill us." MC Rep: "Kill them yourselves" Velsharoon: "No, seriously. They're a bun... hold on -I'm under fire. Crap, I need a new megathron. Just launch the *#&$^#!@ war dec already! I sent you all our isk. ."
I know it's nothing personal, it's just a contract. If you get bored, feel free to shoot any -5 or worse you see in the area bearing the WAC alliance ticker .
You know what futher thats exactly what happened. and if you think im remotely serious about anything in any thread on this forum you need your head examined, im still happily pirating in Molden Heath and so is my corp, we take losses but thats all part of the fun?
I hold nothing agaisnt nmtz at all and really dont give a damn if you all blob up in your own little system. Once again people fail to see the point even when I have made it abundantly clear through all the gibberish on the various threads. and to think I even paid for the MC is laughable. As I said in this very thread: bandwagoners

I love these. Yeah, I can understand how taking on 3-4 times our numbers (again) against what all reports have shown to be a rather active group of players would be easy. It always is.

I hear the "M" in "MC" stands for "Mercenary" and the "C" stands for "Cash up front".
Tar, I wish to copyright this phrase. Let's talk numbers.
As for working for pirates... umm... okay? Regardless, who ever said that MC wore white hats? We're mercs and all evil n' stuff. Loxy eats babies and, oh yeah, Shaelin just rose from the dead!
Originally by: Liisa Are you operating with a NBSI policy?
That would be kind of hard in Empire space. We will be shooting anything blinking red or anything our client deems as a navigational hazard. No, we will not be tanking sentry guns and posting "Come explore Low Sec!" invites to noobs in Rens or anything of that nature.
Originally by: Hellspawn01 We just feel left out in this announcement, thats all
TPC is not part of this announcement, but we'll be seeing you as well. Maybe you can come find us?? Wow, that would be a cool change of pace!

I haven't talked to Vels about this. Vels is an evil pirate bastard who left MC a long time ago. He didn't fit in and kept talking to his imaginary parrot in alliance chat. You think he could organize a contract?

Edited by: Dekiri on 14/09/2006 08:41:44 Uhm.. i have spend a LOT of time in Molden Heath and have honestly no memories of these new MC targets. I am sure interested to see how this turns out to be. At the moment having spend a lot of time in Molden Heath myself the last months i have to admit that it looks as if someone is trying to invade a sandbox with an army of tanks to make sure he gets that last shovel.
Anyways! Good luck to all involved and please fit faction stuff if you happen to hang out afk at planets, thanks! -------------- My dad can beat up your dad!

Does any of that matter?
Anyway, all the people here thinking MC will bbq NMTZ might want to think again. If they are hired against your average 0.0 alliance with systems claimed and sov, that is an advertised presence that gives MC some focus. But NMTZ base themselves across the whole of the Republic, not just Molden Heath. That is a lot of ground to cover for MC to get anything meaningful out of this war.
NMTZ can go to ground easily as they are not tied down to anywhere specific. OK sure they might have a few low sec space POS here and there for their industry, and if they are smart they have begun to evacuate anything really expensive and crippling. The worst case is that they will lose a moon to the next person that anchors there. But there are plenty of moons to be had and a lonely tower is not that much of a loss financially.
Whoever it is that hired MC for this contract has put out a lot of money for nothing in the long run. ------

While your points certainly hold some merit, you shouldn't forget that BDCI and FRICK "grew up" doing empire wars. Surely we've lately been busting POS and targeting specific regional powers, but expertise of "ratting out" targets in empire hasn't faded.
It will surely be interesting to see if we're still just as effective at it, only time will tell. ------------------------------------------

Also, as Waagaa said, a lot of us remember the days when we'd spend a whole night jumping around, then log off with 15-20 kills for the day and feel like we owned the game. We don't bore easily.

Personally, Id love to run into some even matched fleets. 50v50 is a little to impersonal, I realllllly prefer the 5v5 or even 10v10...

Yes they could hide and dock for the x amount of time we're on contract or they could give it the best they got and trash some of our ships and give a good fight, not like anyone can't make ISK to replace what you loose. Anyway I remember similar hunting back when Huzzah and UK had an empire war, we'd go raid each others space and this type of fighting is fun.
