Much Kudos to CCP. Ive been here for 5 days now and though they have the same hardware problems as all the other games the devs here care and actually put out info.
Ive done it all from EA, to SOE to Blizz and they all usally act exactly the same, throw some bull up real quick and keep the population in the dark while the work to fix some problem they caused trying to stealth patch something in.

The main hard drive on the database server filled up. Due to the fast growth of EVE, the daily downtimes have not been enough time to fully complete database cleanups, but I managed to keep enough free space on the drive till next extended downtime, or so I thought. Due to unforseen circumstances the primary filegroup filled up tonight even if the space free on it should have, judging by past expierience, lasted for a few more days.
The extended downtime for patch deployment will address this issue more permanently. ------ Valar Database admin - Server operations team CCP Games How to write a good bugreport |

Im new to Eve... (3 days).. been in lineage2 for over 2 years...
But all i can say is whatever the GM's and Dev team are doing right now is about 1000% times better than NCSOFT support. Be grateful you have it this good... =-) Im amazed and shocked the staff is responding to the community.. usually when you tryed this on NCSOFT boards it got locked, deleted, or got you banned.
People can't appreciate the luxuries they have, or how hard other people work to make sure a luxury they have stays available to them 23/7/365
Although I do agree to what you said up to a point, how do you come up with those numbers when the server crashes (what seems-like twice a week.)
Everyone keeps comparing our "problem-free" gameplay or Dev responses with all other gaming companies but fail to realize that if youÆre willing to accept the end results then you deserve what you get.

Also of note, POS shields are all at 100% now after the reset. That's right, if you just spent time and ammo taking a POS into reinforced mode it was all a total waste. --

Those who are having problems with their ships disappearing or giving an odd message when they try to undock please file a stuck petition and we'll help you as soon as we are able. It is only a simple issue that a kick to the next system to should fix.
If you have anything else that needs our attention then please use the appropriate categories as necessary.

Welcome! :) Actualy the GM's are soo good and usualy get back to you with in 5 minutes here. 1 server is soo great and awsome meaningful political interaction and all the GM's are on the same server so it is much easyer for them to help out.

I tried undocking a couple of times in my Tempest, game would not let me undock, switched to a frigate and kept trying ever so often. Server crashed, when the it came back up I was is space with my frigate, warped back to the station and my Tempest is gone. WTF? I have a terrible feeling with the patch tomorrow it will be a long time before I see my battleship again, if ever, truly frustrating!

Do you have a seperate server to manage user authentication? The reason I ask is that people who were in game seem to be OK in my corp, those of us having a problem who decided to reboot could not log back in to the game or the forums yet those corpmates who stayed in did so for 15-20 minutes before crashing.
