Quote: 7 adaptive nanomebrane on BS= uber armor, and thats all I have to say about that.
Player has placed and excellent hit on you for 0.0 damage.
Two words: Stacking nerf.
Adaptive nanos would've been great before the nerf, but now they're not much more than a waste of a loslot.
Explosive armor hardener I is almost useless too - Since in almost all combat situations, shields are the primary focus.
Shield boost amp I is actually a good item - Not nearly the demand for it as a miner II, but more likely to need replacement. The Caldari 300-mission reward is in no way crap. Not nearly as good as a miner II BP, but still quite good.
But adaptive nano plating and explosive armor hardeners are used by so few people that demand can probably be exceeded by lower-mission-count agent rewards (Gallente agents occasionally give the adaptive nano plating itself as a reward, with the BP coming at 300 missions.) ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

Also: It is true that one day everyone will have their Miner II Blueprints and the price WILL drop to a low average price.
BUT, until then, WHO will profit from it while the price is still high?
The answer is: People who have cultivated their minmatar agent network first and are now on their way to the Miner II BP. If say I wud now start a new minmatar agent career, the price for Miner II's will already be down when i get the blueprint. Tough luck, Non-Minmatar suckers, eh?
I feel like buying a few minmatar slaves from my CONCORD agent (who is minmatar himself btw) and punish them.

Bascically not true.
There i not a finite end-market for the Miner II, ships get destroyed etc etc etc.
Furthermore the penetration of Miner IIs into the overal player base is surrently still very low.
The best loot-drop miners still sell for over 2 million and have tangible value - the presumption that Miner IIs willd rop beyond that threshold is unfounded.

Here is the problem I have.. By the time I reach 300 missions.. CCP will completely change the policy.
The reason I say this.. When agents started to drop implants, in the beginning. I raced to get my lvl2 agents, then I raced to get my lvl3 agent. And on the very same day that I received my first lvl3 agent referral.. CCP nerfed the agent implant drops.
5 R&D Agents, 10months, Zero BPO Offers.. Onboard navigational [Planetary Avoidance] computer.
My account will be suspended at the end of the current play period. Expires on 19. September 2004 |

Tsk tsk. The only reason Cu Vapor's sell for 2mil is because they're still much, much better than what is easily available (Miner I) and are still quite rare. When every other corp and half the freelancers have their own Miner II BP and are selling Miner II's, why would anyone pay 2 mil for a Cu or a Miner II?
For prices to not drop you'd have to have an enforceable agreement between all owners of Miner II BP's to not go below a certain price. This will not happen. When the BP becomes more common, prices will drop to a level just over mineral value. It has happened with every other BP that is available, and will happen with every BP that becomes available.
It's one of the great flaws of EVE, but it is the way it is. Accept it.

Is there any single aspect of Miner IIs that do not generate an unholy amount of complaints no matter how they are handled?
I don't know what could be bring people to such extremes...could it be perhaps, oooh I don't know...maybe...SATAN!?
