m0o will continue to sleep. Or most of their members couldn't bot any more and when someone came along to evict them they had no idea how to defend themselves? I.e. the old Northern Coalition alliances. Those lists are like a who's who of botters and RMTers. Can't comment for NC. (without the dot) But we held Delve pretty good back in the day. Shoot, going even far back.. m0o was the epitome of my time while playing EvE. Not sure who even here remembers m0o (the definers of pirating before MC and PL came along) I remember Lord Zapp and co terrorizing fountain alliance as well as the I don't even remember who controlled querious at that time. C something. I rememebr when the first player controlled npc stations were introduced and how there was a mad scramble to claim them. With jump fatigue I hope smaller entities will pop up and hold their space leading to more small scale engagements. It's better for the game overall. I feel that CCP is heading in the right direction and that's why I am back in the game. If this game can get back to the 2008-2009 era where this game was at its peak we would have a lot more fun. Hell, I am all for bringing back the old POS sov mechanics..... bash me all you want but I enjoyed those way more than the whole ihub none sense.
C something was the Coalition of FreeStars. Wasnt controlled by anyone. The intent was for it to be open to everyone. Black avatar was one of the big corps at that point kinda the only one i remember as i was in it. This made a2 and hed profitable places as well as being very close to the xanadu bears in fountain. This was 2004/2005 timeframe if i recapp tho. Back in the time of cruise missle frigs and dual mwd raxs and ruptures |

Disbanded extremely quickly after BoB originally threw the Goons/RA out of Delve and turned their attention to their old friends who betrayed them. Really quickly as in like a week or two, if memory serves (which is questionable). Seleene had a great goodbye post - check it out here.Seleene wrote:To the members of Band of Brothers - to paraphrase a line from GÇÿKill BillGÇÖ: GÇ£Those guys deserve their revengeGǪ and we deserve to die.GÇ¥ BDCI is in PL now, alongside RKK. As for the rest of the question, I do miss those alliances. Obviously BoB, since I was there from the beginning (but missed the end, due to inactivity). But times change. For a long time, the alliances you listed where the ones that had been around forever.
Some great memories with great folks and fun Alliances/Corps mentioned in this thread. It was rarely ever dull.
As for the MC Seleene certainly had no stomach for the fight, odd I thought, for someone who was supposed to be bold. The interesting thing is if he had it may well have been a much tighter affair with the distinct possibility of a BOB collapse. BOB were also in a little bit of a quandary too (I wont go into the detail of it). As I say though he wasn't interested and had BDCI remove its assets from PB leaving those of us who were up for the fight stuck on the then front line in Querious and a little light on hardware. He also handed off the Alliance CEO position to MyndPyre Ryche, (a great guy) long before he made that forum post leaving the poor guy to handle the anger and distaste coming from those of us who were up for the fight. Ultimately of course that lead to the breakup of the MC. So just to clarify Myndpyre was at the helm not Seleene. History is history though and ultimately the victor tells it their way.

Jericho Fraction and Star Alliance were better IMHO!
Fought against BoB (PA), with BoB (EVOL) and for BoB (20th) in the GBC and yes I miss the old Alliances and the vast content they brought to the game. I miss the content that used to be here in CAOD also. The Daily Jade, the propaganda from Molle, the PA is Dead posts the fact that a few well thought out words and you could start a regional war. I miss the emotion that used to permeate throughout Eve, the anger, the bitterness and the fights and campaigns they would drive. It was always easy to motivate a bunch of pissed off pilots to fleet up! War had a reason, a cause, there was more at stake than a lost ship. People now with a few exceptions are happy to sit back and count their Isks and act like they are a threat rather than be one.
Damn it, I knew this would happen if I posted in this thread................. |

I started playing eve back in early 2004 under the character name Kaleeb. On my second day in the game I thought it would be a good idea to go and explore 0.0. My first jump in landed me in a Black Omega Security gate camp and I was promptly sent back home via pod express. Since then I have several good memories of famous alliances/corps and people:
Force of Evil (FOE) - A few months after the above incident I joined a pirate corporation based in the Mara/Dantumi area called Shadow Squadron and we ended up with the Force of Evil alliance which was based out of OBE and was a combination of the most dysfunctional, colourful and crazy pirate corps such as Forsaken Empire and Corp 1. We were led by Foyle and an often drunken C4w3. We had some great fights against Xetic (the alliance before ASCN) and the newly formed Mercenary Coalition.
The Five - What's not to like about flying with ATUK, Shinra, M.Corp, Supremacy, Black Omega Security! I'd joined the game around the time Curse Alliance disbanded and having heard so much about them I was keen to see what these powerhouse corporations were all about. There were some fantastic pilots in the alliance and I even got to chat to Commi and the rest of Black Omega who had welcomed me into eve so warmly! However joining The Five led to my first big break from eve. The most notable memory is fighting Red Alliance. We started so strongly, rapidly taking huge areas of territory and winning most of the meaningful fleet fights. However RA were so resistant and determined, they embraced the logistical challenges of POS warfare and gradually took back their space. They were putting up towers faster than we could take them down! After fighting what has to be the worst and most draining POS war eve has ever seen against Red Alliance I was burnt out and quit the game for awhile! A special shout out has to go to MACTEP and the rest of RAT for being excellent opponents!
Celestial Apocalypse - The chance to join the "white knights" of eve was too good to be turned down. I'd heard about there infamous Yulai camps and fights against Curse alliance and was keen to see what they were like. When I first joined they had just moved to Fountain to fight against Xelas and Bob. When I looks back it still amazes we what a group of 30 good pilots and one Scotsman can accomplish. Over several months we beat Xelas in a series of fights where we were often outnumbered. Gradually they pulled back further away from us and called in Bob to help them.
The next several months saw Bob rotate one of their four corps against us each month. We had a series of fights against them but gradually we were worn down as we were unable to make isk easily to replace losses while they rotated with fresh pilots. Outbreak then joined us and gave us a fresh breath of life which resulted in some fantastic fun 80-100 man fleet fights.
Mercenary Coalition I joined MC while they were still the roaming menace they started out as and before they become a space holder. Definitely the most organised and strategic group I've played with. They were ruthless killers who had a great talent for setting traps and causing a lot of grief to their targets. My regret is that I joined when I wasn't that active and probably didn't give my best while I was part of the group. Still I have some good memories and North Star Networks will always be a corp I wish I could have joined - if only I was Swedish!!
Omniscient Order Those old enough to remember Cult of Cthulhu will know that Omniscient Order grew from it's ashes. Pound for pound these guys are the best I ever flew with. For such a small group we punched so far above our weight. There were some amazing pilots such as Mitchman, Noobjuice, Jamesw, Hzub and Elgan and it's the one group I probably felt I learned the most from and always felt that bit slower than the rest :)
End of essay!

Mercenary Coalition is fully back and we are now the biggest true mercenary alliance in EVE now (with almost 400 members) i believe (correct me if i'm wrong). 2. North Star Networks are also back and are invited to re-join Mercenary Coalition. But the CEO have plans on re-building the corp up before he goes anywhere.

So many old alliance being remembered here omg the memories. I was in the initial MAX campaign with BoB when they absolutely steamrolled the north, what fun times.
A very good friend of mine who lived 2 blocks away from irl (has quit eve now) who got me into BoB was actually the person who mananged to probe down Lord 2evils titan, it was an avatar I believe, forget the system name, I think it was an IRON main staging system. Either way the battles, the wars in eve back then were awesome, I miss them sincerely.
And remember when word got out that BoB had a baby titan in the oven somewhere in delve, back when titans were a big deal, PL and friends didnt know which Pos it was at, only knowing it was 1 of 2 possible towers? BoB set a plan to put all defense on the one tower (the one that didnt have the titan) making it look like it was, and the battle happened there, and I believe PL and friends lost many dreads in that fight 30+ maybe more cant remember, maybe a few titans, not sure, just scratching the service on this whole battle but all I remember is that going down as one of the greatest jukes in eve history. Such good memories though.
I wish we could bring back the old days, or atleast move back in that direction.
