Any clue who contracted MC for what reason?
It seems rather hard to believe anyone in his right mind would hire mercs against TBB, so I'm really curious to know if it was a real contract or bored dudes having a good at soft targets.

Well, The Big Blue was a great and noble experiment, but after a few months the constant stream of wars wore everyone done.
For those few months we were active though it was great fun. I learned a lot, and flew with some great pilots. It was an honour and a privilege to be part of it.
And the future for Eve University? Keep doing what you do best guys, and best of luck. It must be nearly time for a toga party....!

FYI Our war finished quite a few months ago, also just because they are a mainly industrial alliance doesn't mean someone wouldn't hire us.

Everyone seem's so sad yet,,,
There's nothing to be sad about. This move by E-uni to leave the big blue is logical atleast in term's of strategic involvement in 0.0 space.
The big blue will have the chance to weed out any bug's (if any) and grow strong in 0.0 space.
When they "if they make it" become strong in 0.0 space they may re-invite E-uni so fear not and be sad not.
Overall it show's big blue leadership is serious about retaining geminate and growing stronger. It's a step in a new and exciting direction and if they can make it... who know's they may even pay MC a return visit one day..
So good luck Big blue.. E-uni don't sweat it u'll be fine. The senior member's of E-uni seem to be the most caring and helpfull of eve pilot's. So what is left is in good hand's.
I have 2000 caldarri starbase charter's you guy's can have to get you started.
Good luck the big blue with your endevour to tackle the boy's and gal's of 0.0 space and fly as equal's.
Good luck E-uni.

Im going to be honest. TBB fought us significantly harder than goonfleet is now, or many of our other past targets. You have done well, and eve-uni has done proud. BAWK! dont be strangers.
p.s. a month after that fleet battle my sleipnir was finally returned via petition. I wonder if my corp title "only one to die to npcs in a fleet battle" might be changed:-d hehe

No. its there to stay.
EVE-U did well enough before TBB and will continue to do well now that they've left. They have excellent players of all calibers and will continue to help new gamers in EVE to our applause.

Don't lay it all on MC, folks. Zincol and S.A.S., along with several other locals, have been harassing TBB with everything from gank squads to half a dozen dreads battering down POS's ever since we left. The pressure has been building for a long time. Regardless, this move will allow EU to get back to their roots and possibly open up some new doors for them in the future. -

This move has been awhile in the making. I for one am GLAD we are moving back to empire. We can now focus on our primary mission. No more, wait-I-have-to-gate-camp-or chase-Chandoi-again, I can run a class instead. Crokite was only necessary to replace combat losses, fuel POSes, dread modules, etc. The MC fight was bad, not because of the numbers, but the lag. It drained alot of the will to fight. Frustration mounted. I thought BoB had all but come out admitting they hired MC on their 3 week owed time, to waste our capital shipyard. I have no heartburn with that. That is business.
We can still train our new people in 0.0 PvP, we simply go on a road trip ( oh wait, BoB TMed that term) hmrnn, zergtrip!! Fieldtrip is too elementary school.... I know there's a term for university students who go abroad for the summer... Join channel: "Eve University" or read here |

If only that was ture. For the past few months the Uni HAS been the leadership of TBB, due to many reasons like other member corps leaving or people having real lifes. We run most of the POSs and did most of the defending. The BB mission was a uninqe undertaking witch had its ups and downs and as we said before, it was a real learning lession. so with us having left now, IPS is basicly up for grabs to whoever has the will to hold it
And yes, Seleene is right, even thoe MC was the biggest nail in TBBs coffin they sure as hell where not the only one.
*Kodell wonders how much veld he will have to mine to pay off all the Uni debts.

Well sir, as far as that goes, I commend MC's restraint. But, I also believe in Just War.
Granted in EVE it's rules are far less strict, but to all who invaded Big Blue, was this war just?

TBB will be put in mothballs since its pretty much just NAGA left :) So for now and probably for good, the TBB project will be over. I saw 6 people in alliance chat earlier, ph34r us!
I'm curious about if the war deccs will be withdrawn when they come into effect, else I guess E-R can have fun chasing around the few NAGA pilots who aren't docked all the time or move around in cov ops

I'm not a higher up, but our primary reason(IMHO) for the war dec was the 40man Eve uni fleets of Blackbirds and frigs along with haulers coming into BWF after having sat in Airaken at gates for well over 1 hour on several occassions in the last week and a half. Ofcourse they werre joined by other local alliances in BWF forming over 75ppl at times versus our 20ish. Unfortunately, as soon as the war dec came through, Eve-uni seem to have decided to leave.

The Reason for that fleet and others like it was so that we could remove our members assets from BB space. The Uni was wanting to leave IPS and TBB for about 2 weeks now, but due to the fact that E-R would not honor a cease fire, let us takedown our POSs and collect our gear, forced us to stay and continue the POS war.
As we have now lost and taken down most of our POSs and moved most of our gear out, it is nolonger needed for us to stay and yes, after so many war decs and constant fighting in IPS the Uni does not need another war just now. We want to take it easy for a bit and try to remember what was fun about this game.

Here is the timeline of events from my point of view.
òMC war ends in May. IPS is closed to neutrals. (and in fact never reopens)
ò4 Horsemen(LIH) leave TBB a week after and take down a majority of the posÆs that hold the bwf fortress
òEuni puts up (buys some posÆs off lih) double the posÆs we had in IPS before LIH left.
òSAS, Teamsters, Cosmic Fusion come into BWF with cloaked carrier and start their ganking and live in bwf/8mg 23/7
òMany attempts are made to fight them with no success
ò8mg station is still in the hands of LIH. However with them not in TBB sov does not hold this station. SAS shoots the station and captures it.
òWithin 8hours of the station grab by sas, euni puts together a force and retakes the station, now covered by sov.
òRumour has it Pure. Alliance is looking for a home and bwf is their choice perhaps a deal made with SAS at time of capture of 8mg station
òTBB and friends get a sizeable defense in BWF going and Pure and friends do not enter or engage. They abandon their plan.
òNorthern Empire and Fatalix join TBB, this hopefully to aid in our pvp struggle but in the end did not.
òForsaken Empire (F-E) makes appearances into BWF aiding SAS in their killing.
ò2 pirate corps(Exotic dancers and Party Animals) war dec TBB and aid SAS/TEAM in their ganking endevours. Wars last 2weeks and SAS still living in IPS strong taking out anything and everyone they can. SAS has been in IPS for 2 months now essentially making the space unusable by anyone.
òEuni and Fatalix are the predominant fighting force of TBB.
òSAS bring in dreads and assault a pos in 4-CUM5 and RLSI. Both are eventually saved but after some time taken down by us.
òThe Corporation have now joined in on the action aiding SAS and growing friends.
òLate June Royal Navy Fleet and Logistics(RLFM) leaves TBB
òEarly July Naga and Euni discuss alternatives to our problems in IPS. It is decided to leave. Our hope is a friendly will come in and take IPS.
òERA are hired for a week by NAGA to give TBB some breathing room for logistics needs and some isk generating activities.
òFatalix and NEMP leave TBB
òStorm Armada is the one of choice looking for a new home. As they arrive to BWF/8mg so does Euphoria Released. For a week battles are going on between SAS/TEAM/F-E/E-R/TC vs Storm and Euni helping. TBB removes most of its posÆs for Storm in 8mg. Storm eventually gains sov but not the station. Our neighborly friends CDC decide not to back Storm Armada and hence Storm has too many enemies against them and decides to withdraw.
òFriendly withdrawal cannot be negotiated between E-R and Storm and TBB. E-R brings in the dreads and takes out all remaining hostile posÆs in 8mg, captures the station and claims sov. Storm is now officially out of the picture.
òEuni attempts to negotiate with E-R to leave IPS with safe passage. Take down all our remaining posÆs and haul all our corp and personal assets out but the demands made by E-R are just unacceptable.
òE-R action forces Euni to hold out as long as possible with our remaining posÆs since we cannot take them down in safety. (1 was attempted to be taken down and stolen by E-R)
òThis weekend E-R and friends bring in the fleet of dreads and assault only Euni posÆs in bwf. They manage to destroy all our remaining posÆs except 1 minmatar tower we saved. Ratel alliance helped Euni save this pos.
òExotic Dancers and E-R war dec TBB
òEve Uni with only 1 pos left decides to leave TBB as originally planned over a month ago. However, all our assets still trapped inside IPS stations with no way to remove them.
So thatÆs the story. As of right now TBB still holds BWF but for how much longer is unknown. If anyone is looking for a new home, now is your chance. Let the free for all battle begin in IPS.

So...
You are saying we have no right to defend the system which [BLUE] still held sovern over that contains countless amounts of E-UNI assets, in which you guys were destroying all of our POS's in?
Plus, the little fact that E-UNI had arranged for us to remove our stuff from IPS peacefully, and the first chance SAS/E-R got, they destroyed our haulers on the way out breaking the agreement.
TBB was going to disband weeks ago, but the constant deal breaking by SAS/E-R for us to clear E-UNI out peacefully kept us there.
To think about all the fuel / ammo you guys wasted destroying our undefended POS's. We were in the process of removing all of our POS's from IPS.
I have come across no other corps / alliances that have truely earned the term grievers more clearly then SAS/E-R have the last few weeks.
Don't bother to reply here, as I have no futher comment on that subject. Feel free to use another thread, as this thread is about E-UNI getting back to business.

With that said, I'm glad E-UNI is returning to empire to get back to teaching our classes.
I can only hope, that at some point our member can return to BWF/8MG stations to recover their gear peacefully.
I also hope that we can gain access to some 0.0 space to continue teaching advanced ratting and mining techniques to new students.
There's nothing like 10-15 cruisers and frigates taking out a triple BS spawn.
And the site of seeing 30-40 frigates and a couple of barges mining some 0.0 roids is a sight for all to see.
Best of luck to all [BLUE] members where ever they end up.

Use NPC 0.0 space. You get stations without the POS hassle which is probably a distraction to E-Uni.
