In other news
The four empires, in a roundtable with InterBus, decided to finish the ship class tiericide. Based on the overwhelmingly good feedback to the module tiericide and renaming scheme the empires agreed to make the shipnames more customer friendly and call them by their usage scheme. Examples of the new naming scheme follow below
Navitas -> Gallente Tier 1 Logi Frig Augoror -> Amarr Tier 1 Logi Cruiser Incursus-> Gallente Tier 1 Brawler Frig
Some new names are however subject to the ever changing tides of the game Meta -
Ishtar -> Blob Doctrine 101 Phoenix -> nope.jpg Chimera -> lolno
Though slightly more maintenance intensive it was agreed upon that this new namingscheme is more friendly to the user allowing one to see the use of a ship at the first glance. |

Pointless tears over boring module names have now attained the status of "best tears."
Confirming no complaint is so trivial that at least one person won't come here whining that it's the end of the world and pretending the entire rest of the player base agrees with him. CCP "listening to the playerbase" is why there's been 3 years of expansions that contained very little new content other than additional ships.
CCP, keep screwing things up your own way. The players can't make up their minds what they want and won't be happy even if they get it. At least you can own your own mistakes and learn from them. |

The cloaking effect is great, but here are a couple of observations that in my humble opinion would make it better.
1. Polygons. The polygons that make up the cloaking effect do not scale, which means when zoomed out there are only a few polygons, but when zoomed in there are many. This somewhat cheapens the effect and makes it less 'realistic'. Please make the effect scaleable.
2. The resolution of the cloaking effect appears to be much higher than that of the ship or anything else, so when activated makes the ship look 'cartoon like'. Please match the resolutions, preferably by making the ship resolutions higher (see threadnaught on this subject).
Other wise, keep up the good work :)
Oh, and I noticed my Ishtar now looks 'stone-washed'...is this intentional or just a new lighting effect? |

Add language channels back!
Station services window also for some reason has changed and due to this sh**** change the minimum size of the window has been increased? WHY? Now it does not fit my screen. Why can I not reduce its vertical size past a certain point? It wasnt as big as before but at least I could fit it on my screen nicely with my chat windows. Now I cant, what a f****** useless change.
Getting really fed up with changes like these. |

Feedback: The cloaking effect looks really dumb if you stay cloaked. Hexes aren't as cool as you seem to think they are. And the new wormhole aura is unicorn-tastic (that means bad). How are we supposed to see anything else in space with the glare from this WH's laser light show? Bring down the brightness and scale, I think we all assumed it would be more subtle.
But you don't listen to feedback anyway, so why do we bother? Crius was a disaster, and Hyperion was pretty lame too. I prefer the old CCP. Whatever happened to create your "new update schedule" was a mistake. And let's not forget the insane ISK inflation we've seen due to your recent "improvements". |

Aside from feeling really sad about how the module tiericide started (and where it's apparently heading), I've got only one complaint so far and it's about the new cloaking audio effect - using it even for gate cloak means it becomes annoying real fast unless you are very local and don't do much gate jumping. I move around a lot and do probably close to 200 gate jumps a day... having to listen to this audio effect every time I land on the other side and then again when my ship begins to move towards the next gate is beyond annoying. Methinks gate cloak should not trigger the (audio) effect. And as someone else has already mentioned, it's too loud. |

The new module names are really dumb. Like please spend more than 5 minutes thinking of a naming system.
But I really like the module delay reactivation timer, very nice. Cloaking effect looks cool to start, but not feeling the hexagons. Maybe they will grow on me however. |

The new cloak makes ship activating it stay in overview for about 6 seconds (that is, in other peoples overview). Just checked it with 2 characters, one jumping through a gate in a prowler, pressing warp-cloak and alt-tabbing to the other character.
There are also reports that it's possible to lock the ship while the cloak animation is going on. The person who managed to do it apparently caught aggro, though I can not confirm this.
Is this intentional? |

Is this intentional? There indeed seems to be a delay going on. I also notice it when I warp cloak to a station it will not dock untill the whole cloak animation (decloak) has ended, leaving my ship a sitting duck for like 5 seconds. Before the update you docked cloaked almost instantly.

I'm very concerned about the ability to buy and build T1 fitted ships. It seems like in particular the named light missile launchers are going to be more expensive, and perhaps do less damage per isk. This means more work for me to fit the same ship.
I understand the need to make the game more streamlined, it's important that every piece has a role, but I always enjoyed buying the low-cost modules, and I suppose it will be harder to buy and fit these low-cost modules, especially if everyone is needing the same named items.
Please reconsider the change to named modules. The market really loves the different modules, and this change seems to go in the opposite direction. |

Even though it would allow me to largely avoid the problem, I still believe that the gate cloak should not trigger the audio effect. The audio effect does not convey any useful information in that situation - upon jumping a gate, you are always cloaked, so the audio effect is redundant (besides, you are not cloaking, you are already cloaked, which is one less reason to trigger the effect).
The same effect upon dropping the (gate) cloak is a bit different story... while it's still basically useless if you are autopiloting or jumping manually, it might admittedly be useful to let you know you are losing your gate cloak because of the timer running out. |

New station buttons function fine but are visually very unappealing. Tabs within tabs made sense. It was a cohesive and flowing visual design. Buttons containing tabs is visually disturbing. It looks like two totally different aesthetic directions being mashed together. The same goes for the new cloak. It's nice, I like it and like the new sounds but it's very apparent that it's a departure from the previous and established visual direction. It feels like a visual from a completely different game thrown into this one just like the station panel. I'm all for a shift in visual/art direction but please do it in larger chunks if not all at once. If the entire station panel for example was changed to this new look it would be all good, but as it is it's like van Gogh painting a character in the middle of a Rembrandt.

Thanks for all the work guys.
WHs look great.
Cloak is cool, BUT - the fact that the hexagons do not scale with distance is a real aesthetic problem. The sprites used for the transition have a cool movement across the model, but look flat. I like how you can see through it and watch the effect transition on the other side though.
Module Names - I appreciate how hard the logistics for the tericide is, and the direction is great - but the names are just... unimaginative... and sad. Primary Test Subject GÇó SmackTalker Elite |

Many people fly officer-fit T1 battleships with 1 month old character. Many people buy $500 gold MadCats. Many people put fingers in a wall socket to see what happens.
Some people just lose at evolution. It does not mean that chopping off your limbs and tying you to a life support unit so you would not hurt yourself should be mandatory. |
