Any game worth its salt that has a combat element uses terrain to make combat more interesting and challenging. In EVE, one of the ways to do this is by the creation of choke points.
They are using the "terrain" to their advantage to enhance their defensive position. The purpose of that defensive position is, obviously, to keep trespassers from doing exactly what you are attempting to do.
They are playing the game well... and since you are complaining in an attempt to get the terrain "fixed" it is pretty obvious that you are not.
Either log off or get podded out of there, and next time plan a bit better. Use an expendable alt, or a cloaking vessel (always exciting in that situation depending on how well the bubble camp is set up).
Or better yet, just stay out of there until you can either secure permission to enter that area, or develop the game savvy to slip in without feeling the need to write silly posts like this one.

Edited by: Clementina on 08/08/2006 18:00:23 You're not the first person to be camped in P3EN, and you won't be the last. Consider this as a learning experience, typically 2 gate systems are more hazardous then similar security status systems with more than two gates. (but they are safer than one gate systems, people who get stuck in those are truly stuck.) Instas help if there is no bubble, bookmarks 2000+ kms help in detecting a bubble. logging off in a safespot for a while also helps. You can get out, I have faith in you.

With only 2 gates it is actually alot harder to get through because your path is linear makes it VERY easy to know where you'll be coming in from and they just bubble the path. I thought it was clear I have no problem with the fact they choose to spend thier timing camping a gate, Just is far to easy with only 2 gates is all.
Save the boohoo's as well it isn't that heart breaking of an event, it is silly game mechanic though. Seems they plop 4-5 player on each end very tough to get through and they seem to be camping hte gate literally 24/7 it has been 12 straight hours now with atleast 3 different shifts :) Having bookmarks isnt gonna help get through this camp much they bubble the "straight line" between the 2 gates :)
I can't beleive some tard actually suggested this is a dead end system.... read much? It is main highway out to 0.0 you think anyone would camp the entrance to a dead end system lol?
Serenity thanks for the input, but taking the alternate route in 0.0 means loads of jumps and i don;t have all those routes bookmarked, I guess i log out my character here for a few months till this alliance disbands
P3 has never been a main highway for anyone else than people who like to be ganked. This has been the case ever since the new gates were introduced - AFAIK, there *wasn't* a p3 gate some time ago, so be happy you even got there in the first place.
Welcome to eve. Find your own damn way instead of asking the devs to hold your hand - there have been way more people than you that have had problems there, you know what they did?
They waited. They called in friends. They took a detour.
Want me to go on?
It's your fault if you're not willing to accept the alternatives offered to you. Don't blame CCP for being so stubborn.
