Originally by: Eternal Fury Real dynamic load balanceing may not be possible with the current code, but I hope the devs have thought to put this in the new client they are makeing for Vista/dx10. We may have to wait till then for this to be implemented.
Load balancing is done server side, not client side.

/me wonders why people and places and overview lags are always bad. What data structures are you using CCP? ---------------- Cruelty is God's way of showing kindness.

Get a VMware sales rep in there. Its a win-win situation, either they get proper resource balancing in real time with no lag working on the Eve cluster or (more likely) he will be sent home cryin' --

Sounds like it own check and balance to put a hard limit on how big of a ZERG you can use to try to win a fleet battle. I mean you realize this is happening because people are constantly trying to win by sheerr force which however effective is ultimately a weenie tactic to ensure victory. would it be nice to support 300 ships in a fleet battle sure.... but the next week someone will be whining that they lagged when they brought 500 people to own some corp, and if that gets fixed... the next week someone will be using 750 people to win a fight..

Thats a part of the problem. CCP has added bigger and bigger ships that require larger and larger fleets to support them when the server architecture was never designed to support them.
