Today ISS finished the 6th public outpost in Eve.
The ISS Fabrica, an Amarr factory outpost, is opening right after downtime today, and it concludes the ISS Providence development project which started with the ISS Consido outpost.
The outpost is located in the QR-K85 solar system in the Providence region, just two jumps from ISS Consido in IS-R7P and two jumps from the Unity refinery in 9UY4-H.
The outpost will have docking fees of 0.4, compared to the 0.2 of our gallente outposts, but all factory slots will be free to use. As in all ISS outposts, all pod pilots can dock there.
Please note that the amarr factory outpost is special because production is 30% faster than any other factory type in Eve. Pretty handy for T2 production and such.
On behalf of ISS, I would like to express my thanks to the ISS Logistics, to all the guys who volonteered to haul, to ISS Navy and to our friends from Mercenary Coalition !
Good job everyone!
Chairman, ISS

One can only feel sorry for UK, having a ISS outpost so close to home that all thier enemies can freely dock at

I rather feel Ushra'Khan are doing perfectly well with their Unity station, which is very nicely placed at the crossroads, so ISS outposts shouldn't be any threat. And the market/industry infrastructure just got better for the whole sector.
The only thing I could wish for Ushra'Khan is to finally nail that pirate Nyx floating around (EX-OLQ this afternoon if I'm not mistaken :) )
Congratulations to ISS for another job well done.

The UK station is a refinery outpost, the ISS station a factory one. They actually compliment each other perfectly, and represent a huge advance in the development of the Providence region.

Grats guys, Nice to see another outpost go up...
But wouldn't the UK take it as a threat having an Ammarian station that close to their space
Anyhow, Good job guys, Keep up the good work

UK knew about the station well in advance and gave their full approval
Indeed we intend to work with them to elimate pirates from the Providence region.

Well their only real purpose is research.
And why the heck you would need research in 0.0 where BPOs aren't sold in the first place beats me.

Congratulations.
I was wondering. Say I took my T2 bpo out to this station and started production. What would happen if IIS lost control of the outpost?
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak.

The hostile corp could deny your docking rights, and access to the production facilities. The could also boot your clone out of the station, if you've set it to the station
They cannot boot your jump clone, and nor ISS, nor any other corp can touch or even look at your assets in the station.

I think station managers can look in corporation hangars. But yeah, if you've left something valuable in your hangar, the worst they can do is deny access to it.

You can only do that within your own corp AND have a office in said station. You also need to have the role to do so (can't remember the exact name, security officer I belive is the name of the role)

So ISS is no longer a neutral alliance? Will this mean that CVA and NOS wont be able to dock at this outpost because theyŚre enemies of UK?

If you have the Security thingamajig role (Or are CEO or Director) in the corp that holds the station, you CAN view the contents of every hangar in the station. Of course, you can't take stuff (/me looks at Stins' dread...). -----------------------------------------------------------------
