Just read a small fragment on another forum and there it said that bistot spawn problem will be fixed soon.. well.. I would LOVE to hear how CCP plans to solve that and to what extend they will respawn.
If you hear anything please post it here, absolutely good info for all manufacturers. |

One of the recent CSM chats stated that roid respawning will be fixed when deep core mining was introduced.
eve-i.com should have a link to it.

LOL, the fix will entail bistot spawning in 1.0 space and below. Average respawn size will be 35000m and containing 100k of bistot.

Lol, megacyte being worth less than tri and pyr. ------------------- Basic truths? Idiots make us rich. - Some people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them. |

If i cant replace a ship due to megacyte shortage, i cant play the game... CCP should better fix the problem before MORE people say F* to CCP. __________________________

There is no megacyte shortage, nor ever will be: the stuff's available in ship modules that are sold by the million from NPC corps.
Snag is, it costs around 14k per to buy megacyte this way; but that sets a maximum to the price it can reach.

such a wrong way to do it.
so a miner should go to the market and not hunt something to mine? but then again NO ONE will buy mega from miners because they can all buy it in the same fashion..
i really hope CCP rethings this one.. sux according to me.. but i think they will.. probably later then sooner though (as with everything else)
so don't see this as a solution because i don't think CCP will make the mining business obsolete when it comes to mining and selling megacyte.. |

Edited by: Krashtest on 16/10/2003 11:28:45 Mining for bistot is possible and easy with a few people. The other otption is to mine commons , sell minerals and buy loot to recycle for the rares.
I can mine over 2 mil an hour in commons , and MUCH less risk of ship loss to "jump in point" player rats.
Your Mega Afocal Pulse Maser I perfectly strikes Asteroid (Veldspar) [R0ME], wrecking for 798.3 damage.
Your 425mm Railgun I perfectly strikes Guardian Captain, wrecking for 685.9 damage.

Bistot is out there. The roids are small because no one miens the other stuff in the belts and that causes the problem associated with the Max M3 a belt can hold. See the commons spawn faster so when you mine 5k m3 of bistot, it will be replaced with 4800 m3 of commons and 200m3 of a spread of high ore. If you want more megacyte from mining you can one of two things.
1) Find a belt that has not been mined yet. 2) Grow the bistot by mining out the jaspet, omber, pyer, basically the low ores. I tend to mine omber and jaspet because you dont have to mine as much to get a deent amount of M3. When I farming rocks, usually dark and gniess, I mine out about 5k to 10k m3 per day and let the big ores grow. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |

Stiuation sux as it stands, the fun of searching for and mining rare ors has been killed, and to finish the position the PC rats have closed off large tracts of ).) space stoping the mining and exploring aspects for most other players. I think that the racial groups would have by now tryed to gat ownership of these resources from the rats. So where are the navys to clear out the rats. So that the racial group can gain and grow. The present situation limits the fun of the game as the risk associated with 0.0 space is too great, a fair amount of risk should be present. but not every ship through the jump gate a pod kill. time a little balance returned and with it some of the fun.

It's not that you're fighting off the rats for the veldspar, but the opertunity to later mine Bistot. You don't even have to haul the ore back, just let the container self-distruct and in a couple day's there'll be quite a bit of Bistot where there was the lower level ores. Granted, it does take longer to get Bistot this way, but if you don't want to buy mega at 14k/per, this would be the way to go.

I hope the very predictable (as in fixed) ore-distribution by security level will be softened. If there was a chance to find small ammounts of high-end ores in Empire space that respawns randomly prospection would become really an option. And couldn't rocks just return to a fixed size as it was in beta? Those planetsized Scordite rocks swallowing entire fields are butt-ugly and very disturbing.

The scordite rocks are probably there for deep core mining. That is my guess. ;)
Radom spawn of bistot or similar in Empire space would make mining there a bit more interesting.. |

I made some pretty good isk mining those huge scrodite rocks...you keep 7 mining lasers going and someone hauling and you can make some isk while thinning out a roid belt. That being said it is not practical to do this if there is no refinery in the system...you don't want to spend a lot of time hauling scordite several jumps back. I have a funny one for you all tho...When are we going to be able to build space stations. LOL...This would solve alot of problems outside of empire space tho don't ya think.

there is jaspet in crielere which is a 1.0 so the ore spawn may not be entirely based on security level.
