As some are aware about 3 weeks after Jul 22nd Teams started dissapearing due to sloppy code on CCP part
CCP has never acknowledged this as far as I know
A few days later teams returned A day or 2 after that, teams got a few days added onto their time
Well, during the time they were missing 4 things happened:
I built more components for an Aeon because I lost a ME 6.5 team, and those comps were built without the 2.5% comp team The Aeon was put in build with a 4.5% me team we scrambled and bought at the last second approx 20% of the cap comps for a large order of Carriers were also put on with no 2.5% ME team We bought replacement teams a week ahead of time
I, personally, don't think i should lose approx 3 billion isk in mineral costs, plus an additional 1.5 billion in teams cost that ended up overlapping quite a bit, due to CCP mistake, but my petition wasn't answered yes or no, it was just passed off to "We aren't going to do anything unless the CSM get involved" and they even provided me a link to this forum - wasn't that nice of them.
I basically financed CCP QA program with 3 billion isk, that is absurd and CCP should be ashamed of themselves, however they won't even acknowledge there was a problem - I guess if they did they would be responsible for reimbursement
I am asking the CSM to get involved and find out when we are going to be reimbursed for this debacle and have CCP take ownership of their mess. |

i personally held off with my builds in that time because i could; but then wasted (unsure, maybe ~1bil?) ISK on teams that we wouldnt have needed YET if this bug didnt happen.
so while in my case its kinda hard to say how much isk i really actually lost, i think on kenneths' case he has hard numbers that WOULD be reimburseible.
on another note - GMs are sending people to CSMs now? pardon? should it not be the other way around? :P

It seems clear the GM recognizes that you were unfairly affected by this bug, and explicitly recognizes that it was indeed a bug.
Interesting that the GM doesn't have the power to reimburse people if some arbitrarily high enough number of players were affected by something, and needs to get permission from the developers. But why does it become the player's responsibility to petition the CSM who must then petition the developers to redress this grievance?
I really hope this issue is resolved satisfactorily - if a bug caused you to have to spend that much extra ISK, you should clearly be reimbursed, and really shouldn't have had to go through this crazy, round-about process to get it done! |

The CSM has brought this to the attention of myself and CCP Leeloo.
We'll take a look at this and see what we can do regarding it. Obviously we're going to have to look into stuff in depth here, so we won't be able to give a lightening fast response.
This is a problem that's fresh to us. We haven't heard about this until now and as such it's going to take some time to work.
We'll be back with information when we have it.

No wonder why CCP absolutely doesnn't want the correspondance to be shared, if its to read things like that coming from Senior GMs.
Don't get me wrong, my interactions with GMs have been pleasant and efficient so far, but I surely wouldn't be pleased by some GM telling me to go to the CSM xD.

So do you intend to post a sticky in the Industry forums about this or try and bury it?
I believe in being Pro-Active as Opposed to Reactive.
Reactive tends to be more costly in time and money.

I meant the Community manager :) Others may have this problem and having them not at least mention it.

No, there were alot of threads when it happened, CCP KNOW who it happened to, that is why I think it will take a bit to get a handle on how bad this actually was. |

I've been speaking with Customer Support regarding this, and they're looking into it. Once I have feedback I'll update this thread.

The first is a smallish thread, but it shows the frustration and got locked, the second is CCP Claymore saying he will look into it after a few of us complained and NO ONE ever got back to us, the teams just showed back up about 4 days later |

Well, I sorta figured I would hear something by now, but still nothing. They have been hard at work on my other petitions for Crius mess ups, and all have been systematically closed with little or no resolution.
Funny thing is I have 3 petitions in on this, due to 3 different pilots putting in jobs being affected by teams
1 got closed and they basically said sorry, not much we can do 1 got a reply about 3 weeks ago saying please give us more time 1 got the reply which prompted this thread
all 3 were from the same GM LOL |

Sorry for the wait, I ended up being out of the country for a few weeks on relatively short notice.
I've spoken with Customer Support regarding this, so it'd be a good idea for you to refile your ticket and see what, if anything, they can do to assist.

I am soooo pissed I missed EvE vegas, I was going to print out the responses to give you guys a good laugh
Basically, I resubmitted as you asked and another Senior GM told me to get ******
I replied, then why did CCP Falcon tell me to resubmit
reply: CCP Falcon did what, HUH?
I replied, relinking the SAME THING I put in my original petition (This shows CLEARLY they didn't even read it)
Next reply I got was "We are working on it, but customer service really can't do anything" Hopefully we might announce something soon

Sorry for the delay in getting this taken care of, but there's been a lot of data mining to do in order to ascertain how many people were affected by this issue. However the Dev team have looked into it and have done all the research needed to get things squared away, and get everyone identified.
A script has been run during downtime today that reimburses everyone's ISK who won a bid on a team auction that resulted in the team leaving early. This is regardless of whether or not their received a new team to compensate for the lost time.

Thanks for your help in this matter. Although the reimbursement is a pittance compared to what I lost in minerals, I agree that is probably the only realistic way of restitution. I can't even see what jobs were put on that far back using in game things and at the time, I was building several titans and half a dozen SC's simultaneously as well as a run of 24 Archons.
Just keeping track of that for building purposes is one thing, but halfway through the build, changing the mineral requirements for the ships as well as the components was a monumental PITA, which is why I was so vocal on this.
Yeah, it is kind of a backhanded thanks, but at this time, that is all I am willing to offer, this still stings
