Hello all,
as some of you have noticed, we are currently experiencing problems with the validation of credit cards in the "my account" section of the EVE-Online website. This happens when you attempt to update credit card information in the "subscription details" and "account services" sections.
The GM Team is aware of the problem and is doing what they can to resolve the situation. Please stay tuned here for updates and official announcements, which will be added as they come in.
This thread also gives you the opportunity to discuss/list any problems you may be experiencing regarding the latter.

Issue has been outstanding for 2 days now for people interested.
F.A.Q. Trial accounts aren't stuck to upgrading buy a gtc from here they are an approved CCP reseller so its all legitimate (you can use GTC's to upgrade from what i've been told!)
Same goes to people that need to pay suscription :)

There have been a number of problems over the weekend, some of them have been resolved. Please submit a petition or update your current one if you are still having issues.
Updating your current petition is always faster than submitting a new one.

-Shouldn't billing issue / complaining and being annoying to your contract banking company ?

I empathize with CCP for I to am a service provider, and there are times when things happen that are beyond our control, yet we deal with them to the best of our abilities.
I know there are people in headquarters pulling their hair out over this. I am making my voice "heard" for their benefit, as much as mine.
I do have a question, what will happen to my trial account if it is not extended by or before it's end time? I am sure that I am not the only one on trial thinking about this, and what are your (CCP's) contingencies for these players? Or is buy a game card it? If so I would like to know.
Appreciate your time and I hope this gets worked out soon.

Your trial character will remain in the system for up to 6 months, so you can upgrade it at any time. Your stills will also continue training during this period. ---- EVE-Central.com - Cross-region market view and trade finder |

hi, just to provide feedback, the problem i was having was trying to pay for a character transfer using a Visa card.
I don't suppose yourself Jacques, or another official could provide us with a rough ETA for a fix?

We would appreciate an estimate on when the problem will be corrected.
I have someone waiting for me to transfer the character. It's annoying over the course of two days to have to periodically try to process the transfer. Either give an ETA or modify the credit card authorization screen to indicate the system is down.

Good idea actually. Remove the charge for 24 hours or so. This probably shouldn't of happened in the first place. I've been trying since 12:00 eve time july 29 to transfer one of my characters. ~Mal

No characters have been wiped from CCPs servers since the beginning of the game.
I guess they have plenty of space for the pron as well :) --------------

What about turning off credit card billing? And I hope that my bank statement tomorrow doesn't show every failed transaction as a 72 hour hold on funds.

This is being looked into and we hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible. I don't have an ETA at this point as we haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what's causing the errors. We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing. PayByCash still works and so do the GameTimeCodes. Here's an article about our payment options and here is a list of GameTimeCode retailers.

Sorry but thats only half the issue.
You can't cancel suscriptions you get a communcation error (unconfirmed?) But for sure you can't transfer chars/portraits as their is NO way to do without a CC and as CCP isnt accepting them for whatever reason.. We have been waiting two days..
But may i ask Fate, is it POSSIBLE it will fix during the night or is there no hope till staff come into bank in the morning? -------------- >> FIX The CC's issues the site is having << -------------- |

This has been fixed. If anyone runs into any further billing problems then please let us know right away through the petition system or email [email protected]. Steps will be taken to prevent anything like this from happening again.

When I reported this issue more than three months ago I was laughed off and told by two GMs that this was my Bank's fault.
Repeated requests for the matter to be investigated where turned down, and I doubt those two even passed the information on to anyone that COULD do anything about this matter. I had to contact my bank and cancel 16x$15 transactions myself. EVE Customer Service ftw I suppose.

That's basically a 'Could not talk to your CC company for whatever reason.' Problems on the internet, on ccp's bankhouse, on your bankhouse, paket loss, whatever. Try again later or the next day, but watch your cc closely, under some circumstances the processing is just delayed, not cancelled. --*=*=*--

I just transferred Angel Destroyer.
I tried a different card before but it didnt work. Both cards had plenty of credit so maybe the problem is now fixed.

Here is what I have discovered not so long ago about billing issues and "my account" services...maybe this will help some...
I have MULTIPLE accounts...
So, when I login to my account services on the website, all is good and works great until I go to log in to my other accounts....
What I found is, that if I do NOT log out of my first account and then log into my second account, things go screwey... from double billing to wrong accounts being billed to credit card validation issues....
So to end it all, I simply make sure that when I am done doing what ever on one account, I completely log out of that account on the "my account" page and close out my browser completely....
Then I re-open a new browser window and log into my other account(s)....
Makeing sure you are really "logged off" one account, before accessing another, on my account services, has helped me work better with CCP systems and billing stuff

I have more than one account.
I had to update my credit card info today.
All went well until the last account.
I had to re-enter the information about 10 times before it would validate.
So if you are getting a "Cannot Validate" message, Keep trying or come back later and try again.

well why dont you use all your heads and fix it by paying with a debit card thats what ive been doing no problems its a easy thing to do now why so many complaints
