I been trying to get ccp to do something about PI for years now, all falling on deaf ears as they churn out "boring-idea-less" patch-spansions. Why not make PI more interesting like Forge of Empires or something. ATM its just ..... dots Evelopedia;-á

I like it as it is currently (UI notwithstanding, that needs real help), any changes would knacker so many things from nanite paste and implant production right up to impacting tech II ship production.
That said I wouldn't be adverse to an expansion of PI that involved Dust/Legion and formed some kind of link between the two. This would need to co-exist alongside the current PI system but with either improved rates of PI generation for the additional effort required or produce different PI materials for use in Faction gear production for instance (since it's halfway between tech I and tech II). Capsuleers starting to take control of planets producing faction materials alongside dust bunnies would be a good progression of the Empires losing control. The PI goods from these planets could even be sold / traded at faction stores for LP. |
