"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The summary of the previous week 32/2014 can be found here. Available is also the overview 2014 (up to date now).
The current "This week in EVE" gives on overview of the week from August 9th to 15th
Dev blogs
- Coming in Hyperion on August 26th - Forum discussion
CCP Seagull presents in this overview blog the features and improvements coming with Hyperion, the next release for EVE Online to be published on August 26th. We will see wormhole changes, easily shareable overview settings, a new kind of Level 4 mission, new appareal, PI in nullsec available outside sov holding alliance and more. Check out the blog!
- Size Matters: Introducing Burner Missions - Forum discussion
With Hyperion we will see a new kind of Level 4 mission. In these new missions you will fight against a single powerful NPC frigate while you can only use frigate sized ships. Read more about those missions in CCP Fozzie's blog.
Official news and Customer Support updates
- CSM9 Summer Summit
CCP Leeloo comes with news from the CSM. The CSM9 Summer Summit is scheduled this year from September 17th to 19th and will see a large amount of exciting, interesting and constructive discussions between the CSM and the dev teams. For further information and discussions, please use this thread.
- Alliance Tournament XII Team Spotlight: Test Alliance Please Ignore and Nulli Secunda
The Alliance Tournament XII begins August 16th. Once more we will see Alliances fighting tooth and nail in battles for eternal fame and glory. To present some background information that would be otherwise unavailable and to introduce some of the teams participating in the tournament, the Interstellar Correspondents present interviews with team captains and publish Tournament Team Spotlights. This week Test Alliance Please Ignore and Nulli Secunda were featured.
- Try EVE Valkyrie at Gamescom 2014!
Gamescom 2014 is the world's largest trade fair for interactive games, it is hosted in Cologne, Germany. If you happen to visit Gamescom, don't miss the EVE Valkyrie demonstrations which are available both at the Sony and the Oculus booths.
- Where to report exploits?
If you become aware of exploits or cheating within the game, please check out the knowledge base article on reporting exploits to learn that contacting the Customer Support via Support Tickets is the right way to report those issues. Please also check the dev blog on responsible disclosure.
- Don't RMT!
Do not try to sell in-game items, characters, accounts, services, assets, currencies etc. for real money. Such behavior is strictly forbidden and poses a serious breach of the EVE Online Terms of Service.
