Edited by: X''Alor on 12/07/2006 14:53:55 Name: Damnation Hull: Prophecy Role: Fleet Command Ship
Command Ships Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to Medium Energy Turret optimal range and """""""" 3% bonus to effectiveness of Armored Warfare Links per level """""""
the command ship skill only affects armored warfare links. does absolutely nothing for the other command links
so how many people fly in groups and only use one race of ships.
shouldn't the bonus affect ALL command links and not just one type
most fleets and groups are made up of all kinds of ships, doesn't it kinda make sense that the command ship bonus should affect all command link modules and not just one type.
And not sure what's up with this but got both the absolution and the damnation
lvl 3 command ship skill lvl 3 of the specialization link skills.
put a seige link on the absolution it gets a 4.2% bonus
put the same link in the damnation it gets a 8.4% bonus
so i'm thinking the command ship skill bonus on the damnation is working on all links
train command ship skill to lvl 4 and check out the specs
Surprise .... that same command seige link gets 4.2% and 8.4% wtf something is screwy
right about then i'm thinking damnation .... fitting name
if you ask me it aint worth all the training to use it the way it needs to be used
Fleet command ship LMAO more like biggest group affair letdown ships
if the command ship skill bonus doesn't affect seige links then why is there a difference between the percentages of the same non armored link modules in the two ships. and more importantly why was there no change in percentages after training command ship skill to lvl 4 if it does affect all links.
makes absolutionly no sense
damnations ccp please comment

Yeah, you'd think after training 2-3 months worth of skills, you could use more than 3 modules. But no.

You can, depending on what 2-3 months of skills you're talking about. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

yeah it's very very training intensive to use the ship and a big letdown when you don't get the same bonus to all the links to use it in a real group affair.
you can use all the links but you get a much bigger boost to the armored warfare links over any of the other ones.
that still does not explain if the skill does not affect the other links then why does the same non armored link gets a 4.2% bonus in the absolution and gets a 8.4% in the damnation
there is no other bonus that should affect the stats between the two ships but something is.
is the absolution broke or is the damnation broke or are they both broke.
not sure about the other command ships. not a ton of people can flyem both for each race so i'm sure it's going unnoticed.
something definitely don't add up. really wish someone from CCP would comment on it with how training intensive it is to fly it.

Damnation isn't broken, Gang links need a bit of boost all around..

if it aint broke then why is there a difference between the use of non armored links between the damnation and the absolution.
damnation only gets a bonus to "armored warfare links"
not any bonus to seige links or any of the other gang links.
so a seige link should have the same percentage when fit in the damnation as the absolution but it's double what the absolution gets
if the damnation aint broke then the absolution is.

file bug report. damnation shouldn't be getting that bonus on the seige module. would think you would want to be flying the caldari variant for that.
before making any drastic changes (boost) to these, they should at least make sure that they do not stack with other modules (ie hardeners and such), but would imagine it ok if they stack with eachother. __ Weirda Join QOTSA Now |

Throw in the fact that resist links stack with hardners (not damage controls tho) and it's a pretty sorry price for all that training. Personally tho I think at the very least fleet command ships should have a bonus for a primary and secondary support skill like logistics (make having to have that skill at lvl 4 as well be for somthing). Somthing like
Caldari Siege and Information warfare
Minmattar Skirmish and siege warfare
Galante Information and Armoured Warefare
Amarr Armoured and Skirmish warefare

Agreed =)
I would also love to see that Armor Warfare Resist ganglink doesn't suffer from the stacking penalty.
/me is training for a damnation, 20% Resists to all + 20% Rep duration is the pwn. ---------------------------
