Hello,
Hoping to reach anyone at CCP that is in charge of In-Gaming Support Tickets
I have had a request for help posted now for over a week and it does not seem anyone is checking the In-Game venue for possible problems anymore.
Is there a reason for this and/or is there is 'preferred' method of requesting support and if so: why doesn't CCP just rid us of the arcahic method and do away with the feature on its Eve Help contextual menu ?

Depending on the category of your ticket, it can take anywhere between 4 minutes and 4 weeks to get back to you. This will also depend on how long the queues are, if you were filing the ticket in the right category and how clear you were in your query. Sovereignty and Population New Mining Mechanics |

Yes, there actually is a preferred way of requesting support which provides much quicker response time.

Confirming that posting in General Discussion about Support Ticket wait times indeed speeds up those wait times.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

Are you yet another special snowflake that thinks he is the only one who has a petition and can't get the patience up till you reach the top of the stack of all petitions being filed? Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

As you've probably noticed, posting in gd gets you dumb answers from a bunch of jerkwads. Repost in the new player forum for a proper response. |

Sorry for destroying your hope but CCP doesn't offer any kind of support. Its totally normal that tickets lay around for weeks and month without any responds. When you get lucky you get some stupid text that has nothing to do with what you did write. General answer is our logs show nothing and you as a paying customer are not worth there time. |

Only problem is, he will get the exact same answer.
Petitions are handled on a first in, first out system, so you just have to wait till you on the top of the pile in your category.
And it matters what kind if petition it is, if you are a newby that is stuck in a tutorial > usually less then 5 minutes. Having your ship refunded because of a bug that surfaced in Crius > Expect weeks, expansions = busy petition time + they need to investigate if it was a bug / exploits or just a mistake on your end. Strange, I generally get answers within a few days, or occasionally a few hours. Mostly a generic "thanks for the report we are aware/ we we will look into it/ here's the stock answer", sure, but that's all that is required.
But then I write in whole sentences and give complete details posted in the correct category - for actual problems or serious enquiries, not "CCP omg y am ur game so broke i loos my ship again gief back stuffs pls"
Of course the wait would be shorter if people used the help channel or eve wiki, and didn't spam multiple tickets of the same problem trying to jump the queue...
OP what did you ask for help with?

And I literally had one answered in the same day I raised it. It all depends on which queue it's in. |

Appreciate all the comments and insight peeps... did not realize there were so many factors involved, but honestly I guess I should of figured as much. So with baited breath I will bide my time and retain a bluish tint to my face... ^_^ |

They could get rid of the help ticket function, sure, since your impatience seems to be the world's guiding factor. OR, they could leave it since I like it and have never had a problem with it. Hey! Let's flip a coin and see who's arrogance is more significant!

CCP uses support tickets for toilet tissue. Makes for some very messy monitors.

All the hamsters seem to be a part of collective at the moment, focused on spinning one particular wheel.
I tend to just wait a while. Especially after an expansion. The hamsters seemingly solve problems as they scatter back to their individual cubicles. |
