Any plans to launch with a color blind mode? It can be very annoying for us colorblind people and it seems a pretty simple fix (adjusting shading even just in the menus) and I don't want it to ruin Valkyrie for me as I'm looking forward to this. |

I sat next to a colourblind guy for years and had to help him read docs etc, frequently, gave me a good feel for troublesome colours.
I looked into it and there are a lot of different types of colourblindess(can we post links? http://www.colourblindawareness.org/colour-blindness/types-of-colour-blindness/) , very interesting.
Makes me wonder if any of the colours we actually perceive are the 'actual' colour of that thing, or just some arbitrary interpretation of chemicals we have as a species... Maybe overthinking it @itsNej |

The definition of the word "color" I use is: "The sensation experienced in response to light entering the eye."
When you ask "Are any of the colours we actually perceive are the 'actual' colour of that thing?" the answer is yes, by definition of the word "color".
It's when you ask "what is actually entering my eye?" that things get interesting. For example, the color yellow can be perceived if the right mix of red and green is shown to you. To see this, put a big patch of yellow on your computer screen, get a jewelers loop and examine the screen up close. You will see red dots and green dots. Yet at a distance it's yellow.
But you can also perceive yellow in response to light of a single wavelength, if it's the right wavelength. In both cases you are seeing yellow, by definition of "color". But your perception can be the result of different stimulus.
To understand what is entering your eye, you need a spectroscope. You can buy those from Edmund Scientific for a few bucks. Its sort of fun to look at different light sources through them, and see the mix of light. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Just want to throw my support behind this. I'm fully red/green and mild blue/yellow colorblind and this would help greatly. The fact that fleet members show as blue rather than the more common green in other games helps a lot when determining FoF. |
