Just a couple of questions regarding POS's in empire. If your not in a player corp (say like an academy or NPC run cop) can u still deploy a POS in 0.7 space? i know u need a corp role to anchor one but do you get that ability automatically from being in a NPC Corp?
Also i had a question about freighters (i know wrong forum but if i can kill 2 birds with 1 stone). I Heard they were pretty useles, they cant pick stuff outa cans, they can only be loaded and unloaded in stations? So if i had a corp hanger at my POS would i be able to load the gear inside it to my freighter?
Any help would be appreciated :)

No, you have to be in a player run corp to have a POS. You also need Charters to deploy POS's in >0.4 space.
Freighters can haul a ton of stuff so i don't know how you can say they're useless. You wouldn't be able to interact with your corp hangar array at the POS with the freighter.

Edited by: Vaccus Animus on 06/07/2006 00:33:19 Thanks for the info man. I Dont want to sound harsh but its kinda dumb not being able to have a POS wihout being in a player corp, its a little unfair to the solo players.
As for the freighter, if i harvested a load of minerals into a corp hanger, then its sounds a little strange the the next biggest thing i could use to move it would be a carrier, which of course you can't use on your own, u need a cryno field to use one. You;d have to use a regular hauler and make god knows how many runs?
Just sounds to me that thier trying to make it as hard as possible for solo players.

Well, maintaining a POS is pretty hard on your own in the first place.

You could always.... refine it.

Trust me, they make it too easy for solo players to do a lot of things. This isn't WoW.

You don't have to let anyone be in your corp. Theres plenty of 1 person corps.

Only a million isk.
Alliances cost a billion, not to many one man Alliances that are active.

But you don't need the alliance for a POS or dread :)
