Could someone tell me which assult ship could do the most damage. This is taking into account drones and the number of damage control you can have while still maintaining reasonable and sustainable defences.
Thanx in advance for any help.

Edited by: Ithildin on 04/07/2006 17:50:44 By damage control you mean damage mod, right?
Retribution. Completely lack versetility, though.
Edit: Actually, Ishkur with blasters might do more, but problem here is the very short range - blasters and assault frigs generally don't work well. New sig coming soonÖ By "soon" I do not necessarily mean "this year" |

IF you fit the enyo like you would a blasterthron it should work just fine(web,MWD).
And has some superb damage.

They do work well, enyo suffers 2 mediums, with blasters you need a MWD and a web. So solo PVP in a blaster-enyo is quite hard, ishkur on the other hand is excellent.

ishkur>retribution>harpy/enyo
ishkurs set up for full gank are pretty rare though

Ishkur has an advantage over most frigate-sized blaster users in that it comes with a 10%/assault ships bonus to optimal range.
Although I do find that even with a 50% bonus from AS V that using plutonium/uranium/anti-matter that the range is still really low. I mostly trained to 5 for the extra drone bay space.

Wolf with 4 200mm and 2 gyrostabs is nothing to laugh at either. The rate of fire with good skills is and 2 gyros is insane.

Ill want it for doing lvl 2/3 missions (once I get better skills) and ratting/complex's.
Would the ishkur be best for this because I could use it like a mini domi or would one of the other ships be better?

My favourite tool is a Jag with autocannons, yet experimenting recently I was impressed by how much faster an enyo with t2 blasters rubs out cruiser type npc's...
The problem is that its so freakin' slow...

Umm no... A wolf will do 263dps max without implants and with 3 gyro IIs. An Enyo will do 356dps max without implants and with 3 mag IIs. An Ishkur will do 379.647 max without implants and with 3 mag IIs. A Retribution will do 280dps max without implants with with 3 HeatSink IIs.
A blasterharpy will do 302.48dps max without implants with 2 Mag IIs.
So in order of DPS:
Ishkur Enyo Harpy Retribution Wolf
You lose.
Most realistic DPS will be a blaster harpy followed by ishkur pushing 280dps with no mag stabs and 3 nuetrons, 3 hammerhead IIs, 2 Hobgoblin IIs.
Then the Enyo will do 274dps with only one mag stab II.
Followed by retribution, then wolf.

Enyo has the highest damage potential of any frigate hull, with the possible exception of Taranis.

Because the bane of all assault ships is a NOS, and fitting blasters pretty much guarantees you will have to operate within small and medium nos range.
