Either the blues; Muddy Waters, Screaming Jay Hawkins kinda stuff or early Beastie Boys.
Why does nearly everyone in this thread listen to metal/hardcore?

I don't do much pirating yet, but there's a few songs that get me in that killin' mood. Well, pretty much anything I listen to does that.
Clutch definitely has the best music overall for pirating, IMO. Monster Magnet comes in a close second (Spacelord 4tw). Surprised nobody's mentioned those two bands yet

Originally by: Zaphod Jones I'm with Verone on this one, but also :
Bach - Tocata y Fuga in d minor
Check out also Saint Seans' 3rd Symphony, 4th movement.
Also, Symphonie Fantastique by Joseph Jongen. This one is obscure and hard to find, but it is mad 20th century organ music.
Quote: Holst - Mars Holst - Mercury
A contemporary of Holst was Paul Hindemith. The 3rd movement of his "Matis der Maler" tone poem is very triumphal in character. The wall-of-sound brass fanfare at the end will make you stand up and salute.
Quote: Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture
If you are in the mood, try PDQ Bach's 1712 Overture, although you may be laughing too hard to shoot at anything.

I thoroughly recommend Johannes Brahms¦s Hungarian Rhapsody 5 for the more refined privateer.
For the oiks amongst you, the idea of killing to the sound of Aqua¦s Barbie has always appealed to the perverse side of my nature.
Failing either of the above I am stuck between anything by Charlie Lownoise and Mental Theo, Lil John¦s Watcha gon do? But Daphne & Celeste certainly get me in the mood to commit attrocities on a global scale.

Nice bands there, if you like those can I recommend you try Slayer's & Ministry's earlier releases? Ministry's Psalm 69, Land of *****& Honey, and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing to taste are incredible.
Also, if you haven't already heard them, can I recommend Pigface? They were a 'supergroup' comprising several big names from the early 90s industrial scene, including members of Ministry, Revolting*****s, Tool, Dead Kennedys, KMFDM, Front Line Assembly, Skinny Puppy, Nitzer Ebb, many people!

I also like to play the Star Wars "Evil Empire" music down TS as we warp into battle.... sets the mood real nice. Ciched? yes, but still cool.

Currently I am loving Bach's cello concertos. Something about the heartbreaking swoop of cello music that gets me in the mood every time.
Also if I queue them all up its around about 3.5 hours worth of music, so I know when the music stops I'd better log off or my wife is liable to go fecking ballistic at me wasting entire days on a computer game....
