Evening folks,
I have done some reading on the new Industry changes and have got my head around some of them. However, regarding the removal of slots for manufacturing, how will this affect POS'es.
Does this mean that one laboratory can be anchored and everybody use that due to the unlimited amount of slots or am I reading the wrong way into this?
Further to that, if that is the case what will be the use for large and medium POS'es apart from extra CPU for defence?
Cheers,

If only there was a dev blog explaining the starbase changes in crius.... Maybe it could be called "Starbase changes in Crius" and outline the starbase changes in crius? |

From my understanding, you can anchor one lab and everybody can use it simultaneously. |

However 1) the prices will go up the more people are using that facility type in that system, and prices are going to be *much* steeper, so that's going to hurt, and 2) if you have multiple modules providing that service, you'll get a discount in the price using that service at that POS. |

"From a setting perspective, more facilities allow you to spread a given load out across more locations and thus each location can run more efficiently, resulting in less overall costs."
This is currently my favourite guote from CCP Greyscale. It fries my brain and it wouldn't win a crystal clear English award. But it does make me giggle.
Yes unlimited slots would mean that you could pile infinite jobs into one lab. But I think that would increase costs and taxes as it would make the workers at that lab very busy indeed.
The current plan is still that multiple numbers of the exact same array or lab have to be onlined at a POS to receive further savings in job costs ie taxes. No additional material savings from this plan though. I and others have tried to put forward other ideas but CCP is dead set on this one. There will no doubt be more dev blogs on all the industry changes before July 22nd when they are implemented. Read those when they are released.
Obviously the optimum set up for a POS post changes will be a system with no NPC stations in it and as few other POSes as possible. Then the workers in that system will come cheap.
