Sorry for the stupid question, but does anyone have links to see the different outposts? Don't know how or where to start lookin' for 'em. Thanks.

The player outpost phenomena is a really interesting game mechanic - that appears to be working rather well. My question is:
Since these outposts are in 0.0, are the routes to and from the Outposts (0.0<->empire) protected by ISS members and relatively safe? For Example, if I bought something put up in escrow, will I be attacked/destroyed on my way down there to pick up the items?
How does that work?
BTW, thanks for the links mentioned above. Really really impressive!

In the case of the Marginis... no. The entry points are not safe, because they are nearly impossible to secure. First of all, the southern entry point (Agil - Hed-GP) is used by like fifteen alliances, and regular patrols there can cause friction. The northern entry point (Sendaya - Doril) is full of NPC stations and PC pirate griefers that love deliciously plump and juicy nublets in inexpensive ships with expensive cargo.
The immediate space AROUND the outpost is relatively safe though. Just not the entry points into empire. ----

You can see one of the outposts (I think it's Gallente) in some of the pics posted in this topic. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

Yup, there's one in GHZ-SJ.

I've got an idea--an idea so smart that my head would explode if I even began to know what I'm talking about

Open the map, set it to show number of stations in system. Look in outlying systems with stations, examine orbit items. Look for: [Racial] Service Outpost Example: Caldari Service Outpost
Click the little blue "i" and it will bring up a small picture.

Guess I shouldn't be too surprised that an IAC member takes every opportunity to smack talk.
The Doril path is closed because Curse Collation claims this area and don't like everyone and their mother moving thru it as it's a security risk, and as we are at defacto war with among others the poster above we don't allow noobs in inexpensive ships thru either as 90% such a noob is really a spy and not a noob.
But if you move at non prime time (shortly before or after downtime for example) and use a scout (noob alt in an inexpensive ship :) ) you can probably get thru without too much trouble.
There is also a third path to marginis thru providcance. I rarely use this path myself so I can't comment about its safety but last I heard it wasn't so bad.
Also don't expect to be safe just because you have reached the outpost system. While we follow the rules about not shooting people there there are many others who don't. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
