Items produced from T2 BPO are sold at or very close to invention prices. |

Not immediately, no. Over time, though, the supply would need to be replaced if demand remained constant or even rose for prices to remain where they are.

Thank you for your insight. That (mostly) coincides with something I and another were thinking. I wanted to double check to be sure. |

Prices would go up, as a result of additional production materials needed. Instead of heavily researched T2 BPOs with high ME/PE levels they would be based on best invention ME/PE levels.
T2 BPOs are slowly but surely disappearing from the game already. Be it from accounts being inactivated, destroyed in ganks/wars or confiscated by CCP and sent into digital oblivion.

As Tippia mentioned, there wouldn't be much of a change, as the price for items is mostly derived from invention and T2 BPO's only deliver a small amount of the T2 items on the market. For the ones that are not in high demand, the price might change a bit more as those change to invention level costs.

Also, it's worth pointing out that we already have a number T2 items that simply don't have BPOs. The pattern there is that the margins are far slimmer than for the ones that have a few BPOs supporting them. Should the BPOs be removed for the low-volume items that are currently mostly produced from originals, the pattern should be the same there: the margins for inventors will be slim, and as it happens the market value of those items are already just at the edge of profitability for invention.
So sure, the prices for these items should go up, but there's no reason to think that the margins for the producers would increase massively, and as such they would not go up very far. In some instances, the prices might even go down as people pile in to fill the (very low) demand with high-supply invention (at least until they realise their mistake in trying to fill a flooded market). GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

They should also buy ganking ships and gank the a-holes who are ganking them now when these dweebs are forced to mine themselves just to replace the ships they're destroying in order to gank miners. That would require for those miners to finally grow a pair and forget mining for a few weeks and neither option is going to happen. |

More or less nothing would happen.
Check the production levels from a BPO.
If there's a market then invention will build so much more that the production from BPOs is irrelevant.
