Originally by: Viktor Fyretracker in theory a Catalyst could fly because it could be a flying wing. the B2 is a flying wing and has a great record.
If by great record you mean, none of the worth-more-than-it's-weight-in-gold aircraft has crashed, I guess you're right. But remember the flying wing dates back to Jack Northrop in the 50's.
Almost but no, the germans were first in the early 30's and mid 40's with the Horten Ho-229. The last remaining example it's abandoned in the depots of the Smithsonian. The americans just copied the idea and updated them.
Acutally, no, Jack Northrop and the Horten brothers both developed the flying wing in the '30's, separately. Northrop had a piston engine fighter design flying in 1940, while the Ho-229 wasnt flying untill around '44.
Correct, the Germans did not invent the flying wing first... ------------------------------------------------ Current Hobby other than EVE

Ferox would make a better Hydrofoil craft then an aircraft. it even has the thingy hanging off the bottom where the foil could be attached.
Kestrel could fly with some modifications however it would need a tail.

You are both wrong. Jack was certainly ahead of his time here in the states, but he was a couple years behind German engineers.

On topic: It doesn't matter what you design. Put enough thrust behind it and it'll fly. The Amarr shuttle would be pretty cool looking. Always reminded me on an Awing.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the atron (or it's interceptor derivatives) or the thorax.
Inataki Syndicate Atron: atron
Inataki Thorax: thorax

Thanks for the link, though the point was that neither 'stole' the other's work.

Gallente Shuttle. It's symetrical, has a decent amount of "wing" area, and could probably be a really easy little electric foamie. Maybe toss on a clear vert stab for better performance.
