Interesting, enjoyed the 60's songs, no other way I could even remotely know about them, not my style but good to hear something diff once in a while, today as I'm cheerful as Xmas is coming down and everyone begins to change their outlook as lots and lots of people begin the xmas gift buying craze and seeing family all over you get a lot of nice traditional songs
Right now Im listening to
Cumbia Solede+¦a
And songs like these ones which are typical during Xmas season
Jose Feliciano - Feliz navidad (thats like an Anthem to some of us LOL)
Rodolfo en Navidad
El A+¦o Viejo- Tony Camargo, this song so OLD, it doesnt have a proper video ... only an endless replay during the ages.
Ahhh I'm nostalgic, I miss making a straw man filled with old newspapers and clothing him in old clothes, then refilled again with all kinds of black powder pyrotechnics, to BLOW UP / BURN/HANG during New Year's right at Midnight.
I still don't know well where it comes from, but it's like a pagan ritual of celebrating the new year by burning, hanging and or blowing up an old straw man and then the ashes being left to be blown by the wind. As all of us eat and share our traditional Xmas dinner plate of HALLACAS.
In Panama they have something like a mexican tamale but man good thing a lot of venezuelans here, so much OM NOM NOM of nice traditional goodies ...
Ahhh Xmas ... I still remember hating it when I was younger, as I grow older I begin to see the real value behind it.

Listening to : 1 CPU fan, 2x GPU fan, 1 PSU fan, 1x case intake fan, 2x case exhaust fan, 1x CRT monitor cooling fan and the clicking sound of keyboard keys punctuated by the occasional clicks of the electronic cigarette power button and sometimes a mouse button. Sweet, sweet relaxing sounds. The harmonics are exquisite. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Contributor_name:Akita_T#Contributions_link_collection |

This song takes me right back to when I was a kid, the reckless '80s, and the reason I picked up a bass guitar in the first place.
Kortatu - Don Vito y la revuelta en el frenop+ítico.
@OP: I'm not generally into electronica, but I have a few albums by Morcheeba, Air, Ladytron and Goldfrapp, which I consider very good stuff. I even saw the latter two live once.

I also once, while playing REQUIEM, discovered a guy that introduced me to this AWESOME CHILLOUT group, I have from them 4 albums of SHEER Magick!
BOARDS OF CANADA - Geogaddi
I have all of their albums on my ipad and use them as background music as I browse when I'm at work or just relaxing. Sheer bliss, reminds me a ton of REQUIEM when I play them, good times. |

Houm, interesting, but not exactly my brand. Anyway, speaking of Canadian stuff, that band's name brought this to my mind... sometimes i use them as background when remaking my avatars.

Indeed, Boards of Canada are an awesome band, I listen to them a lot too. And on the same line, if you like them check out Aphex Twin "Selected Ambient Works Vol 2": superlative ambient music record (his other records are more drum and bass or whatever they call that, though).
Both Boards of Canda and Aphex Twin's SAM2 were used as soundtrack music for the monumentally bizarre modern classic freak show that is Salad Fingers.
