It starts to get out of hand lately. Between frighter containers, hundres of basic modules and 40k+ consumer electronics, I start to have a station full of them. They take a lot of room, hard to move, and doesn't sell well. I ended up trash them all the time. Those items serve no purpose at all. Can we get them removed from reward pool? Plain old ISK reward is fine really. There is no market for frighter containers or those electronic parts. Basic modules can be reprocessed into minerals then sold for ISK. But why bother to have them as reward in the first place? Those rewards take up system resource and pretty much worthless.
If there must be item rewards, then give us something useful. Something like mission tokens that can let us trade in for ships after certain amount of them are collected. Not sure if you guys ever played Anarchy Online. In that game, when we do missions, we can have chance to get a token. Those tokens can be collected then used for a token board upgrade. Token board give character stats boost. Maybe we can have the token board that offers special boost to the ship or character.

Not all players are as rich and powerful as you. Some love the crap rewards because it lets them upgrade to that destroyer they always wanted.

Edited by: Fuujin on 01/05/2006 08:45:45 In the process also make storyline/important missions actually reward you with something of relative value, something beyond the regular mission. As it stands now most times it's worse than standard ones.

Don't agree, your statement is too vague. Which mission lvls are you talking about?
Have you checked the corporation profile as well? It tells you which items you are likely to get from the corp you do missions for. If you don't like the rewards, change the corp you do missions for.
Best thing would be to add new items in the rewards list not simply remove. In addition, as a new player, i am quite happy to obtain basic modules thank you. At this point, getting any tech II module would be useless for me (not the skills by a long stretch)
Sure "pure" ISKs is a nice reward, on the other hand it clearly doesn't give the same feeling to the game.

I'm so far not unhappy with mission rewards. Trade goods are actually quite good. I just wondered when my agent gave me 99 units of civilian armor repairers for one (lvl 1) mission, and later another 50 for the next mission. But that were exceptions :)

This is quite correct. If you don't like what you are getting check out the corps and find one that givies you stuff "you" think is more profitable.
Also in all actuallity those item rewards are actaully better than the isk rewards in most cases. You just have to know where to sell the times. The items you get may not sell for much in your region but may sell very well in the next region over. Also if your quantities are so high that you need a frieghtor to move maybe but the time on the Market for a price that is just lower than the NPC market and someone will haul it to the next region for porfit. Of find someone to move it for you . Yes it is more work but also more isk. CCP is just giving you more options. Be lazy and refine for trash or sell really cheap, or do some work and make more isk than you would have if you just got isk from your agent. Also remeber thier are mission rewards/bonuses. Be thankfull that you are getting them at all. All other professions in eve don't get those. Miners/Belt hunters/produces and so on...

Edited by: Hotice on 01/05/2006 16:13:42 I'm talking about lvl 4 mission and lvl 3 mission mostly. Name 1 person who do lvl 3 and lvl 4 missions with basic modules. Even if there was one, does that person need hundreds of them? There is no market for such modules and same goes for frighter containers. Ammo reward is fine and I didn't list those as useless basic modules did I? Bottem line is that the mission item reward pool need some modifications. There are lots of things can be replaced by more meaningful items. It is just matter of change database and shouldn't take all that much work. However, this effort will make mission rewards more interesting. Honestly, I currently have 47k of consumer electronics, had 62 frighter containers. There is no way I can transport them since the nearest system that buys consumer electronics is 14 jumps away. On top of that, there is no frighter container market at all. I don't mind reprocess them though. That is what I do with 99.99% of the mission rewards. If change mission reward cannot be done, then can you just let us reprocess those trade goods as well?

Ok I would have to Agree on the fright containers. Yes doing lvl 4's produces alot more fright containers than there is a market for and you can't move them unless you have a frightor and refining them producess very little mins, and I guess if your getting 100's of Baisc moduals which I belvie are not in game anymore. But if you mean like miner I, which thier isn't much of a market for either. The isk rewards might be better as well, but I hanv't done the math so see what the value of minarals of these are but I'm sure its better than fright contaiers
But I still stand on the trade goods sorry :).
PS I have just started using the fright containers and no longer find a need to buy the station containers .

Is worth almost 4m if you sell it. Break it down into managable parts, courrier it to someplace that buys it, put up a sell order, and rake in some extra cash for minimal effort.

500 75mm gatling railgun. As reward for a lvl4 storyline mission. Theese are the reward i never miss if they remove em. Useless, impossible to trasport with the mission ship, absolutely crappy.

I have never seen a post or a player in game say that they like getting freight containers. They are worth basically nothing when refined, have one of the most limited markets in the game, are cheap enough that a freighter pilot who has hundreds of millions to fill his hold isn't going to go out of his way to save 10k isk so they can't be priced competitively to move them and they are unmovable in anything but a... you guessed it, freighter.
Absolutely useless reward, to be honest I'd rather get nothing, would save me the extra clicks getting rid of them.

It sells in Amarr on a few stations. Buy orders come at the size of 32000 Units. The stuff is bulky. I have way over 300000m¦ soil covering my hangar floors and Amarr is just about 25 jumps away. In the time to move one industrial with expanders down there I can mine more than that in high sec with my meager mining skills. With my 500000m¦ of water from Ammatar agents I could build some nifty mudpits and then I'd have a use for my 200000 reports from Minmatar agents I could sell as tickets for my fango imperium. I could make a fortune if I gave my freed slaves, exotic dancers, marines and janitors a job there too. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known.
