im gona compair pre patch and post patch ways to avoid getting attacked by pirates...
pre patch.. check the map for ships destroyed and pods killed. know where you going and whats been going on in the systems along your rout check secruity lvl in said systems if you going to a system thats lower than .5 you will want to be on your toes. watching for players in space in those systems and jump activity on your path to your current destination...
post patch.... turn on auto pilot and go watch a movie or tv mabey clean the house do some laundy really anything you want since no you dont have anything to worry about. and nothing exciting will ever happen. just warp jump warp jump over and over again till you brain pops.

Uh-huh.
Had a very nervous trip back from Stain through Catch region.
Wasn't helped by the lack of mouseovers on the map or my poor memory at remembering whether red was good or bad
Catch Region is home to some lame-ass pirates camping jump-in points around the 36N system.

well what options has ccp given the pirates maby you should patetion to have ccp banned. for ther lame changes that force pirates to camp jump in spots because there is no other way to catch people travleing warp jump warp jump.. im not a fan of getting blasted by big guns at gates.. mabey if enough people ***** we can get sentury guns and jump in points too. lol GJ ccp you fix a problem with a bigger one atleast people had a chance at the gates now they are just dieing when the jump in due to slow loading times... i give you gold star on this fix

Nitalya ... 100% agree. This is the problem of the carebears wanting everything handed to them on a silver platter. Next thing we'll see CONCORD expanding their influence to FDZ4-A, Stain, Venal, etc

what about this ccp... an idea why dont you take the guns away in the .4 and under system gates. and add a tool where people could hire npc escorts? problem solved people pay for an escore and the pirates get the pvp they want. this will add some depth to the game and make it enjoyable for all partys.. what does everyone think?

Yes the autopilot malfunctioning makes it just that much easier to run blockades, I don't even have to be by the computer to know where my clone is activated, it's all pre-determined.
As is the weaklings obsessant need to dominate others through playerkilling...

if you want to pay 12.95 a month to be afk while you play.. thats fine with me but i play this game because earth and beyond sucked from a pvp aspect. and if people expect to have space with no pirates they are silly. every space game ive ever seen had pirates in it. so what makes eve different. other than the fact that ccp is nurfing pirates out of the loop. im trying to come up with solutions other than screw the pirate to this problem. and i thienk npc escorts is it.. you want to auto pilot through space thats fine then dont ***** if you ship gets blown up if you afk.

I'm still not entirely clear on this.
When did camping a gate in empire-controlled space = piracy? I've never, ever seen one of these 'l33t d00dz' at a gate ask for any sort of toll or ask for cargo or anything, they just sit there, for hours on end immediately firing at the first indy that they see. The last time this happened to me, I parked my badger at a station, bought a moa and flew back. The 'pirate' ran away. I really wish some of you would quit acting like you're in this for PvP, we aren't retarded, you're in this for the easy indy kills, that's all.
Is it really that hard to go out to 0.0 space, or to the asteroid belts in .4 and below space to hunt people?

I hate to agree with the pirates, but I guess I must in this case. As a non-pirate that does a lot of traveling, I would much prefer that pirates be in front of me at a gate rather than waiting for me at the jump in. Why? Well, if they are at the gate, I have some options available to me to avoid or fight the situation. At a jump in... IMO ... there is a tendency for pirates to have to create a certain amount of lag to be able to lock you down before your ship just starts off to the next gate. The worst feeling in Eve is losing your ship without being able to even click to make a good/bad choice. The day this becomes routine, I will complete my morph back to carebear and never leave 1.0 space again.
I have lost 2 ships to gate campers so far. In both instances I made a crucial poor decision deciding my fate. At least I had a choice.

People mining in a roid belt have what? Ore. Oh yeah, a haul full of Kernite is outstanding compared to an industrial full of robotics.
0.0 yields...what exactly? Anyone that intercepted me going in would find a hold full of ammo and missiles. Coming out? Less ammo and missiles (enough to fight with tho).
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann
Be careful out there. That other guy waiting in the queue for the gate MIGHT be a baby-munching frock-burner, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW!- Lallante |

So you're saying because it is easier they go for tradegoods?
Increase the volume of tradegoods then...
EDIT: I better make sure I print in bold that this is what most call SARCASM. No, we'll just go around you, or pay a 'toll' if we're in a hurry. Or better yet, make bookmarks directly to the gates for often-made trips.
Quote: People mining in a roid belt have what? Ore. Oh yeah, a haul full of Kernite is outstanding compared to an industrial full of robotics.
of which you morons usually get nothing because you shoot first, without even bother to demand a toll.
I'd have no problem at all with pirates at gates who actually acted like pirates. Instead, you've got a bunch of prepubescents who curse in local and talk about how l33t they are when they blow up indys. It's these same punks who whine about 'lack of PvP' who ALWAYS run from anything bigger than an ibis or something carrying more than 1 gun. You aren't fooling anyone. You don't give a crap about PvP. You're just whining because you can't prey on Indys anymore in empire space.
I'll say it again, if you really care about PvP, why aren't you out in the belts in .4 space(and below) or out in 0.0?
Quote: 0.0 yields...what exactly? Anyone that intercepted me going in would find a hold full of ammo and missiles. Coming out? Less ammo and missiles (enough to fight with tho).
0.0 yields bounty, it yields stealing nice drops other players have collected, and it yields actual PvP combat, which is what most of you are claiming to be whining about.
Killing indys at gates in empire space yields what? You might get some nice cargo if it doesn't explode along with the ship. There's rarely any bounty on your average indy pilot. There zero challenge in taking on an Indy, but we all know you aren't looking for a challenge since you scurry off as soon as a cruiser pops in.

hey tease you must be running into lamer pirates i dont remember running away from anyting with more than 1 gun... we fight anything that comes our way so if you wnat to pay a toll then you can pay your toll but your equipment and cargo is worth more to us than a toll.. we arent toll both attendands we pirate... we steal cargo and since we cant board your ship we just blow it up.. so if ccp wants to give the pirates some tools to get the cargo withouth blowing the ship im all for it but till them ill just empty the cargo container and help you get back to noob land via clone activation.

Actually, I have come across you before Nitalya. I was in a shuttle at the time, which you attempted to blow up. I guess it was for the nice cargo I had packed away in that whole 10m¦.
I came back within 5 minutes in a BB, with a Moa & Arm escort. You and whoever you were with, can't remeber his name, both warped to the station and hid until we left.
Stop pretending you want a real fight hun, you wouldn't be gate-camping in empire space if you did.

Doesn't that just prove her point that you aren't "pirating" anything? You're just there to grief players who can't fight back. No wonder CCP put up sentry guns around all gates in empire space.

if your traveling in unsecure space with no defences you get what you get.. if your not smart enough to protect yourself you deserve it.. i personal prefer a fight.. i enjoy killing ships with guns.. the better armed the better loot for me. keep that one in mind.
