Edited by: Cao Cao on 15/09/2003 01:03:14 Any chance we can get the volume of these ores increased when you get to 0.0 space? It is stupid that these asteroids are too small to make the ores useful.
It is silly that you can get the most efficient amount of isogen by mining omber instead of some of the rarer and more isogen-concentrated ores.

Some odd rocks of these ores in higher security space to lighten up the day for miners there would also be welcome, tiny rocks, baby rocks, grilled tiny baby rocks, it's all good!
No I'm not asking for spoonfeeding just a little more dynamic spawning and the odd rock, just one in a whole system would be a prize for the roidblind corporate miner...

Are they bugged or intended to be this way? Cuz honestly these ores are totally BORKED they are not worth mining, especially considering their high refining requirements (i.e. 500 units to refine)

I've actually found jaspet in somewhat decent quantities, but anything higher seems to be ridiculously rare, with the occasional exception of bistot. Hed/hem/gneiss are by far the worst offenders.

I thought it was just where I have been. But I too have noticed these roids arew totaly pointless. Hopefully this gets fixed.

It looks to me like they just grow back very, very slowly after theyve been mined. I was mining in a system with no stations yesterday, and found large, gneiss, dark ochre, hed and hem rocks, better than all the surrounding systems with stations.

The baby-roids bug is still there...And the dev in charge of that should be back from holidays now.
I have seen no incoming solution for the next patches regarding this bug, and I fear CCP prioirity is to add content to the game to keep players on, and then to fix the bugs
If mining pursues on this way, CCP should change the belt's names... "Amarr IX belt I" should be "Amarr IX mega scordite roid I"
Above jaspet, mining an hedg or an hemo roid means "activate your miners for recovering 15 units of ore"... The description also should be changed ... "pretty comon ore"...TRUE, but only under 0.3 areas... (\_/) (O.o) (> <)=Oveur (proof) "Jumping 50 systems I can like, have sex 150 times during that period" |

But are the aforementioned asteroids part of the "baby roid" respawn problem or do they just need to have their mass increased? It seems to me that no matter WHERE I find gneiss or hemorphite, it is ALWAYS tiny, even in way far away 0.0 systems that I am sure nobody else has visited for mining purposes.

Edited by: Plasmatique on 15/09/2003 20:52:00 Cao Cao, I'm not sure why, but I have found all kinds of asteroids including Bistot that yield multiple refines. I think I got 3 refines out a rock this weekend. These rocks were in WAY out 0.0. But the Bistot rocks I've found closer to stations ARE of the mini variety and have low yields. I find it odd that you would find baby roids of a different variety other than Bistot that far from a station. Usually people only bother to mine Bist out that far.
IMO, "virgin" roids will give you full yield, but once they've had their cherry's popped, they respawn into baby roids.

Yeah.. These baby rocks are stupid. I find it more proftiable to mine scordite then trying to mine the 0.0 rocks :\
