Sadly, I believe your comment is quite true. The war on drones continues apace. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

This would be nice. You can reproduce this bug just by creating a alt character with no skill training, undock, and start trying to overheat things (sometimes the full overheat rack works, sometimes the overheat on a module (by using shift+Fkey or by clicking the OH section of the module icon works).
CCP, you guys aware of this? Something is really wrong here :P
Edit: Again - this only seems to work when items that were UNABLE to be overheated prior to the 1.1 patch are overheated. Undocking in a Noctis with the only overheatable module being a 10mn MWD - I am unable to reproduce this bug. Can do it over and over again with Tracking Links and ECM bursts, however. |

Heh, if anybody has any doubts about if devs are playing their own game the answer is no, they aren't. Not even to test changes they just made. Deployment to TQ might be successful, server has a new version installed after all, but all those functionalities frakked up? Oh boy... OP, do you use key macros like from a Logitech keyboard?
I used to use the "G-keys" on my old G11 keyboard to control my mids and lows the same way the F keys controlled my highs. Due to bugs in the logitech software (or maybe it was the hardware?) it would sometimes overheat everything on all three racks. It was pretty wierd, and I lost more than a few fights doing that.
Anyways, if you're using logitech keys to control your modules - don't. The software is buggy. Ch+½j+ì Katrina Oniseki ~ (RDC) Chief Operations Officer ~ [I-RED] Director of Public Relations |

So little apparent value, but such a large patch (took over 3 hours to download at the hotel last night).
The size of the patch implies to me there was a lot more going in on the back end than is apparent from the patch notes. |

I don't believe they intend to 'remove drones outright', they just don't know how to deal with them right now. |

No.
No macros, either hardware or software.
Again, no thermodynamics skill either trained or injected. But able to overheat modules at random and take heat damage to them. Bonus :P |

Right, so.... if you have tested and it is the new modules you can overheat, but none of the old modules, then bug report it and CCP will chase it down fast. Sounds like they didn't test with an untrained character and no-one on Sisi tested this with an untrained character either as I'm sure I read that these changes were up on Sisi for testing at some point. So as I've said elsewhere, stop dumping on CCP, and actually help them test this stuff. (Also, who doesn't have thermodynamics trained first thing these days? :P) |

Did you ever update your drivers? I've used a Logitech G15 for EVE for many years, and recently upgraded to a G510s, and neither ever had this problem. |

I had blocked Incarna from memory.....it did keep me warm during winter though when my gpu got nice and hot and provided both heat and a cooking source......
This is not a boot.ini release but it's not a good one. Since the gpu toaster Incarna I will give CCP credit they have had some okay patches...the new launcher was a bit frustrating. This one however seems to be rife with issues from all over which is a surprise considering this was billed as an update. Turns out lots of things have changed...some good some bad....but lots of issues.
I think I am more frustrated than angry since I think we All pretty much love this terrible game. It's like when a good friend does something daft over and over....you get a bit annoyed with them.

There was the boot.ini incident. I would call that substantially more 'buggy'. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |
