The other day I was called the Stacmon to mine with an ally who was having problems with an ore theif. I set my cruiser up and mined my little heart out till said thief showed. He proceeded to steal from one of the cans so I did what you do in PvP scrambled and webbed him. When I did that he started talking a little smack as he fought my drones (why shoot the drones over me I will not understand). I lost about half the drones when I called in a corp member to assist with the kill. After he realized he was going to loss his ship, he blew up one of the ore cans.(talk about a sore losser) And started ranting and raving in local like he was 6 or 7 and not getting his way. I have seen this in lower security as well when pirates will attack a corp member and the Corp shows up to pwn them!
Are Ore theives and pirates simply the worse lossers in the game or do they expect to simply always find easy prey? Also the same pirates and Ore thieves get themselves killed over and over again either the same day or within a 2 or 3 day period. Does this mean they truely are 6 or 7 and just don't learn fast? Now I have fought so good pirates in my time and quite honestly my PvP set us was gotten off a pirate that blew me up more then once, we are now friends. So this is not a dig in any way against them I just don't get the whining when they are not winning, and why they continue to mess with those that beat them time and time again for the same thing. Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.

Not all pirates and ore thieves are like this. Honestly, carebears are more likely to throw a fit like this when they get ganked than a pirate is. As a pirate in a BC, I've been hunted by two battleships, another BC, and a cruiser at the same time...while having a perfectly polite conversation with my stalkers.
It's really the individuals. A lot of pirates are annoying brats...but so are a lot of carebears. No one group has more than the other, really.

As he is your enemy and you are his, he did the only feasible thing to maximise damage done to you, with the ship he was about to loose anyway.

It is rather amusing for me to see experienced, 1-2 year old pirates apply this lame tactic of can ransoming, blowing the can up and then cry on local after they get blown up on how they could have owned you if they had XYZ setup (not mentioning any names they know who they are)

I think it was the smacktalk that was unsporting, not the destruction of the ore can.

well actually when u are about to attack someone in lowsec or grief in anyway, a gm pms u and makes sure u are below 14 yrs old, dont have any idea what u are doing, u must have all your lowslots filled with stabs, and then are prepared to smack like a ***** if u dont win.
this is how u become a true pirate

We've dealt with pirates who have lost two ships to us for none of ours, and the next day they come back to help us spar and practice PVP. It all depends on which corp, and how mature the corp is as a whole.

A few are idiotic but a lot of pirates do this only because it's how they operate. They loose many ships in the hopes that the one kill in a long while that they do make actually has some good stuff, and they can make money off of it. Of course, that's kind of a bad MO when you're only attacking miners, since I doubt you'd be able to replace your losses.

I believe you have just provided the counter example to your previous generalization?
Yes, some members of <insert profession> are a bunch of morons and worst losers in the game. Other members of said <insert profession> are not morons.
Whadda ya know, ain't no moron-free profession out there!

Excuse me but you are painting us all with one brush. I think thats a highly unfair and unjustified comment. I've seen Pirates smack a hell of a lot less then n00bs and non-pirates to be honest.
I've never smacked ever. Nor have any of my compadreas.

Its just over-generalization. Non-pirates smack just as much as pirates do when they dont have it their way and they cant insta-pop pirates.
It goes both ways.
Although to be honest, I've seen more smacking / blobbing non-pirates than pirates. *shrugs* -------------------------------

There are so many player who dont know how to play the game. Why should some of them not be pirates?
I bet the person behind this char is giggleing all the time. If he is blown up or not.

Its unfortunate that many people experience wannabe pirates, those who fly around thinking they are uber because they camp gates with biggy fleets and then try it on their own and fail. The True sign of a decent pirate (in my honest and most humble opinion) are those who can not only do the gate camping big fleety blooby stuff, but als have the skill, charm and ettiquette to take on superior targets on their own, and still get away with it. Smak talking is a no no and sweetness, charm and civility will get the True Pirate what they want .... failing that, just blow the s*it out of your target to make the point Avast me hearties and other sundry piwat talk!!

Camping a gate on your own is easy.
You'd be suprised the amount of people that panic and dont even fire back when you attack them
As to attacking superior targets... In my experiance it doesn't work. Ive tried to kill Tenecha Chan(sp?) 's navy mega with 2 different battleships and setups now And I cant do it lol. My gankageddon got butchered... and my NoSferPoc lasted all of 20 seconds with a damn strong tank
400mill down the drain

You will always have fun, with a capital F. .... now excuse me whilst I go watch my holocid of a certain individuals fully pvp kitted MEGA going down to the wrath of the Thorax "Love Floater". ... dont ask about the name
